This song makes me cry every time. It reminds me of the church I grew up going to. I cry because I used to hear my grandmother singing this song and it reminds me of her. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

The first time I heard this song was in the opening of Charles Burnett's masterpiece To Sleep With Anger. It hit me in the chest like a brick, and it still feels the same way everytime I listen to it....
