As much as i don't want it to happen, I think she'll be remembered as one of the greatest singers/preformers of all time (at least top 50) but like i said i really don't want that to happen, I'm hoping her career disappears ASAP.

Her music does absolutely nothing for me, though I do find the GaGa "show" fun to watch.

It's hard to say - I didn't really love those early Madonna singles at the time, but now they obviously are pop classics. But I don't feel like Poker Face will hold up to Like a Virgin somehow. Her stuff seems more of a piece of the overall package than something that can stand on its own.

She will join:

Debbie Gibson

Taylor Dane

Xtina

Those Wild Orchid chicks

Heart

Amy Winehouse

Milli Vanilli

Jody Watley

Cyndi Lauper

J Lo's husband

Taylor Dayne..aww my girl...She deserved greater sucess.. speaking of those "Wild Orchid Girls" Fergie was supposedly supposed to be a newer generation version of her...maybe in looks. Taylor got way more soul than Fergie imo.

Ok to the question at hand.....

Lady Ga Ga is not completely void of talent but focuses on gimmicks way too much. Always trying to outdo herself when it comes to image. For the most part what gets an artist to be remembered for decades to come...Classic music. If she can put out quality pop songs like Madonna did decades before her.... We could talk.

Taylor Dayne, Heart, Cyndi, etc are still doing their thing. The hit singles may not be there, but they still tour and can still sing. Key word:sing. Don't let me start on Britney again......

I don't think her singing and performance was anything exceptional and unforgettable. I think it was her image, sound and her vision of culture in the music industry that will be remembered. Oh, and her outfits. But again, that's only if she flops with her new album and it's the end for her. I think she has loyal "monsters" who will stand by her. This next record will be a test for her though.

The worst thing working against her is all the hype. Whether or not she's musically overrated is another discussion for the individual listener to decide but in terms of relevance, chart dominance, and impact I feel like a lot her stans are jumping the gun. This LP coming up is only her second studio album right? Will it flop? No, I don't see that coming yet but what if it doesn't meet everybody's high expectations? What will that do for the next era, and the era to follow, when she's been around for more than 2 years?

You can't script a music career like that. She may be on fire now but a decade down the road, 15 years down the road...will she have the same kind of support? None of us know where she'll be. So to the stans running around claiming that she's surpassed Madonna & Britney, calling them old, irrelevant, washed-up, over, etc...Think before you speak. Ciccone was multi-platinum before Gaga was even born. You're talking about women who've been around for 28 years and 13 years respectively, eleven albums-in and seven albums-in, still collecting #1's and selling out arenas. I think it's a little bold for some to be coming for their necks like I've seen but it means nothing.

Everything new becomes old at some point.

YES! Anybody that thinks Cyndi and Heart "faded into the sunset" need to reexamine their homework. lol

You can add Amy Winehouse - Back to Black to that list a CD that will remain a classic for years to come....cool

The way the music industry is these days...who knows. I used to be a die hard fan of hers up until last year. Stupid me brought concert tickets to see her this upcoming April, but a part of me really wants to give them away to anyone...idc anymore. lol I'm no longer a fan of Lady Gaga. She's annoying and so over the top now and I can't stand it. I've tried to get back into her again because I know she has a second album coming out and it's been hyped to death, but I just can't. lol I just got rid of her songs off my I-Tunes playlist recently.

I bought concert tickets too cause my friend was begging and I was feeling her too. I don't care much for going now but will still do it, cause she won't find anyone to go with.

Yeah, I don't really have a choice either...April 22nd can't come soon enough. lol

yeah I've dished out enough concert money for one year, on gaga and 2 janet shows, that's enough for me

You sure about that? Because even though I did take a liking to her last year, all I can remember is the "fashion styles" from her. I don't know how her songs go unless I was to hear it while surfing online. lol

I'm going to see Prince on Feb 7th (had no intentions on seeing him 3 times, but I <3 the man.) Yeah after Lady Gaga, I really have to cool it w/ all the concerts. I want to see Adele and Bruno Mars at some point...later on this year whenever they decide tour the US. (In 2008 I went to 8 shows...I can't do that again.) lol

You've posted the wrong lyrics to GaGa's song.... she's alot smarter with her lyrics than Britney lyrics which she of course did not write so it has zero meaning to Britney........lol

It's really insulting that a civil rights icon like Ms. Ross has been relegated to a fucking "fuck for tracks" joke here on the org. The fact of the matter is, regardless of what she did, she broke ground for many of us black folks to be who we are. That's a total stark contrast to these ladies today who are contribution sh*t to society.

Thing is Diana actually has talent, hell Berry wanted to suck HER pussy, Diana only did him a favor. lol I'm convinced of it now. lol No way was Miss Ross chasing that troll around if only other than he gave her great comments unlike her daddy. That was one complex relationship though.

This generation of stars THOUGH are a totally different era than Diana's. lol TOTALLY different.
