Why isn't Prine releasing the Montreux DVD? (without the fake reaons, please)

Why isn't Barry Soetero (the man your mama calls Obama) less in the pockets of the banksters?

Why isn't the Fed a Federal bank?

Why is the normalcy bias so overwhelming?

Etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on...

So where is 2010 Deluxe? Or the 20Eleven promo? Did he play any new songs on his Welcome 2 New York tour?

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I think there's but so far you can go in the neo/soul category. I actually thinks she's pretty succuessful actually . Her concerts sell pretty well.

Yea, Neo Soul music isn't mainstream anymore like it once was in the 90's. I used to love Neo Soul, but lost interest in it along w/ R&B music (both suck.) Erykah Badu's first album did very well, but her later efforts not so much. Plus she changed up her look...she's more eccentric looking now and that doesn't appeal to the general public, esp. w/ her genre of music.

She is doing just fine, she has sold millions of albums all over the world.

I don't want her music to end up on tv ads for floor cleaner.

She doesn't sing pop music?

I like Erykah, and her music and I think she's eccentric and stands out as a soul artist, which is probably why she does so well, but she doesn't have that pop sound. Reminds me of when India Arie did "I am Not My Hair" and her label released the track with Akon and she gained some face time.

You're missing the point. It was never her goal to be a "star" and imho, she is doing fine. She is a neo soul icon and has made her mark and like Sade, has a singular niche.

Yeah, I kinda agree with this. As long as she's successful enough to keep putting out albums, and she can keep developing as an artist, I don't care that she's not selling out stadiums. Sometimes, there's a kind of freedom to try new things and take risks that comes from playing mainly to a loyal fanbase, rather than having to please the average pop radio listener. Plus, it's more fun being part of the coterie of fans 'in the know' about a good thing than the mass of mulch-munchers, no? cool

She's not a bigger star because she actually had TALENT, doesn't do your typical R&B/POP music that the record companies keep pushing on the public and she's not running around here half nakked (Window Seat excluded).

But she's not a bigger star because she has not had a huge crossover hit. She is more of a niche artist.

Haha, love it.

And i agree with the rest of what you say, it's good she is not selling out huge venues, it makes it a better live experience for the rest of us.

Um LOL... lol

I didn't say both of them were great artists.

Badu is a big star, maybe not like Gaga, but compared to 99.999% of musicians in the world, she is hugely successful & well known.

Did you mean Ludacris was not a big star? confuse
