should r.kelly and babyface have written songs together? I don't recall them ever doing it, but would it have worked?

It depends on what point in their careers that they work together. In the late 80s/early 90s, it would have worked. In the late 90s and early 00s, it wouldn't have worked. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

They're both musicians with great ears and talent so why not? We all know the critics here on the org will come out and say "Hell no. R Kelly and Babyface are way too different to create anything and R's music is shit compared to his." lol I could see it as a Jim Steinman and Meatloaf of R&B kind of thing or maybe Kells and 'Face would be the Elton John and Bernie Taupin of R&B. Go ahead and hate if you're gonna lol I'm just thinkin and contributing so put your guns away.

No. If I'd have come across any such songs I might have fallen in to a coma.

LOL Babyface... What happened to him?

I just bought a Babyface CD (Tender Love) the other night haven't even opened it yet. It was 5 bucks. I think they were too similar to have worked well together. You need a Ying and a Yang not two Yings.
There strong suits were writing love songs. Maybe a duet or two but as a team. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Thanks for your responses
Now here's something more challenging
If they wrote together, who would sing their songs?
I can see TLC or Toni | |

Right. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

U should definitely grab Lovers and For The Cool In You. You could definitetly skip The Day.
If you find A Love Story online, download it FAST. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Wasn't the 90s full of enough drab, boring mid-tempo and slow songs? Who would wish for that abomination of a combination?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
On the R&B side...yes. Sadly, that trend has continued. I don't mind slow and midtempo, but sometimes u want funk and dance music. The redeeming quality of the 90s is that there were usually uptempo mixes issued for most songs. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I used to whine about the late 90's being too slow compared to the 80's, but fact of the matter is, I was a teenager in the late 90's and have memories with those songs. I'll blast 80's when I feel like it and 90's when I feel like it. What I don't like is when people act like their generation is the only one it matters, people my age particularly who think everything before it sucks when it doesn't and is WAY better.

Babyface doesn't have an image
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
maybe so, but he definitely doesn't need to ever be anywhere near peeing ass Kels even though R is talented
