Everyday Sunshine: The Story Of Fishbone - New Documentary
rom the shifting faultlines of Hollywood fantasies and the economic and racial tensions of Reagan's America, Fishbone rose to become one of the most original bands of the last 25 years. With a blistering combination of punk and funk they demolished the walls of genre and challenged the racial stereotypes and political order of the music industry and the nation. In celebration of the band's 25th anniversary the band will soon be appearing in a new documentary. The iconic Laurence Fishburne narrates the film and tells it like it is. A story about music, history, fear, courage and funking on the one.

Thanks for posting this, Harlepolis. Definitely one of my biggest influences & the most underrated band of the 80s & 90s, in my opinion. So much great music & raw energy, they deserve way more praise than they have received. But they're still kicking ass... Fishbone Soldiers! Exiles of the Nation

I had the pleasure of being on tour opening for them 2 years ago. The most incredible band I have every seen. They would play 2 hours straight and not a single slow jam. Angelo has an energy level unmatched

x2!!! They basically rearranged they way I listened, viewed and wrote music. For real. Criminally underated. Truth and Soul album changed my life. I've been waiting for this Documentary for some time now. Being it's their 25th anniversary and all, maybe we can get some deluxe reissues of the original albums! And maybe, just maybe....reunion of the original line up. That would be cool. Regardless, as Rebelenterprise stated....they're still active, albeit rotating line-up, and still kicking ass. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

Long time Fishbone fan here.... Seen them live approx. 10 times.... They put on one of the greatest live shows ever.... If they come to your town, don't miss it! And I can't wait for the documentary to come out on dvd later this year either! (no release date has been announced but it is supposed to come out this year, by summertime I think) [Edited 1/20/11 16:46pm]
