By the way I also prefer KISS' too but I love the sloppiness of Nirvana's version especially with Kurt and Krist shrieking all over the place. lol

KISS, for sure, and I haven't even heard Nirvana's. The song is so definitively KISS.

As a KISS fan from way back, Do You Love Me is one of the best KISS songs of all time from Destroyer which is one of the best KISS albums of all time. Imo.cool

So obviously my vote is KISS.lol

I like some of Kiss's stuff. Nirvana? That groups music was too depressing, a little goes a long way. (IMHO)

Oh Yes!

Glad they came back with Sonic Boom, it would have been a shame to end their career with Psycho Circus, which was a mess.

never count Gene&Paul out; TRUE survivors nod

Psycho Circus was a joke neutral specially after Revenge, which was a superb album, perhaps their best since Love Gun ('77)... Sonic Boom was enjoyable, but not spectacular, I guess I loved the production (kick-ass) but not necessarily the songs (a bit predictable)...100000x times better than Psycho Circus anyway ...

That "comeback" period was calculating anyway. Didn't shock me that Ace and Peter split again (this time over financial reasons when it was drug reasons the first time around). I saw, I think, Ace (or Peter) on That Metal Show not too long ago and he still looks great for his age. nod

Oh man, just when I thought Nirvana couldn't get any worse, I had to listen to THAT.

Please shoot me if I ever say I want to listen to even one more second of Nirvana music, as I will have obviously gone stark raving mad.

And thank God you did!

KISS is playing the rodeo in March and I'm going to pull every string I can to get backstage and meet Gene and Paul. And if I do, you can bet pictures will be posted!

To Nirvana's credit Nevermind is an excellent bit of pop punk rock but they were definately way overated but did give us the God like Dave Grohl. I LOVE the Foo's.

Fyi for all here....according to all members, KISS is returning to the studio in February to start on a new album. And while I'm looking forward to this project, my only wish is they branch out a little more musically than they did on Sonic Boom. Sonic Boom is a great, return to form solid release especially this far in the game. But I say stretch out a little more, with longer musical passages/jams. You know like the first album. Bring it full circle. That would be cool.

Nirvana is one of my favorite bands but KISS's version is way better.

I do like this cover of Calling Dr. Love by Shandi's Addiction. The band consists of vocalist Maynard James Keenan(TOOL), guitarist Tom Morello(Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, and Street Sweeper Social Club), bassist Billy Gould(Faith No More), and drummer Brad Wilk(Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave)
