Lady GaGa Casts Transexuals In ‘Born This Way’ Video

lady gaga born Lady GaGa Casts Transexuals In Born This Way Video

With the promotional train for Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way’ set to leave the station shortly, details surrounding the video for the project’s self-titled lead single have begun to surface. True to form, the Pop phenom looks set to rustle feathers.

Full story after the jump…

According to Perez Hilton, the singer’s team were in attendance at a New York transgender party hosted by Alannah Starr this past weekend. The GaGa confidant claims reps for the star were actively casting transexual ladies for the ‘Born This Way’ visual – which is set to be shot next week.

The shoot comes at a busy time for the singer, who after recently wrapping the latest leg of her ‘Monster Ball Tour’, is now rehearsing for her Grammy Award performance of ‘Born’ – which’ll air live on February 13. Cleverly, the single will be released to iTunes immediately following the performance.

—————————————–

Given the angle this album is set to have, it’s somewhat unsurprising that she’s going this route. After all, GaGa has and continues to be an active advocate for this community – and ‘individuality’ more wholly. Saying that, for all her plausibly good intent, she must be careful to not be interpreted as using this audience for commercial gain or shock value; a charge increasingly being levelled against her by sections of this very community. For, if not, it could be the start of her undoing – which would be uber unfortunate given how talented she is.

Yeah, but transexual people aren't "born that way." They pay for that shit. Transgenders on the other hand...

So she hires transsexuals for "Born This Way" but didn't hire transgendered people, am I reading that right?

It would make sense for her to hire people who were born with genitals of both male and female, you'd think, right? It's only fair.

Love her, but she's teething on the verge of being overexposed. I wish she would take the rest of the year off-- and take Beyonce with her.

But you know good and well that Gaga wants high shock value, hence why she wants trannies.

Speaking of Allanah Starr, here is what I could find on Yahoo! Image:

Where have you been? Beyonce is already on a year-long vacation. She took the time off to allow Gaga to dominate pop culture for 2011.

It's gonna be well-produced, controversial and unoriginal no.1 pop songs..probably slightly different style than The Fame Monster.

No kidding eh? I only know one song (Poker Face) and I'm tired of her too. She does things for the shock value. Nothing she does shocks me at all. She's rather boring IMO.

The excitement over it fades once people are free to release information about it. It's like a killjoy. Like wait until the song is released/video is aired before the artist makes a fuss. I honestly don't remember Madonna making an announcement that she was gonna have racism/xenophobia/interracial love in "Like a Prayer" right after signing a $5 million Pepsi deal to do commercials or Michael Jackson announcing he was gonna smash windows and grab his crotch over and over again. Neither did Nona Hendryx or Gwen Guthrie or even Diana Ross say they were gonna have drag queens (and the first two's videos were banned from being played because of discrimination). Nowadays, people just give it away. It sucks. Gaga's one of the worst offenders of that unfortunately.

By the way, that album will be out by May so that may explain the "tour wrapping" but still, it ain't about to wrap now.

One thing that PISSES ME OFF is that, nowadays, any new dance star desperately tries to establish an "alliance" with the gay and/or the trans community, not because she wholeheartedly supports them, but mainly because she "needs" them ($) in order to establish a "loyal-no-matter-what-forever-loyal" fanbase...(it worked splendidly with Madonna/Kylie, so apparently, it should work with everybody else, right? rolleyes)

It feels like a cold and cynical move for me (just when a hot popstar looks for straight males fans via huge cleavage/semi-naked pics neutral ) and I can't believe the large number of homosexuals/trans that actually bite the bait disbelief

Gaga may be looking for "freshness", but this "I support the gay community" tactics are getting old...

that said, who cares...I guess neutral

I agree. I kinda didn't understand the Gaga craze when I first started listening to her (especially on Twitter... oh my God). I just like her songs but now that I think about it, seems like anything she does relating to human rights is calculated because it seems like she's trying too hard to prove that she really loves the LGBT communities. But I would say for someone who claims to love her "little monsters" no matter what they are, she sure put up a fucking campaign to prove to naysayers that she has a pussy. Now I got ticked off about that. If people say you have a cock, why even go on a campaign denying it? Ain't like you're fighting against molestation charges or murder charges? What's wrong with being transgender/transsexual/intersexed anyway? Real gender benders don't have to PROVE what they are, they just are. Same goes for those who have a loyal gay following (for instance Diana, Chaka, Aretha, Patti, etc., don't always go "this is for a selected people"), they don't have to prove it. That's why when I read this, I raised red flags.

Apparently she "showed" it on the "Telephone" video when she goes into that prison cell and the woman warden or whatever was like "told you she didn't have a dick" or something to that effect. confused I remember how people on Twitter went nuts over it...for some odd reason. You think she had revealed Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster the way they were screaming for joy over her showing her clit as if they've never seen pussy before.
