Free Yourself, Fantasia. I actually think she could pull off a funk/rockier type of sound. I actually think in her case, though, it's the opposite of P-Funk: If She Frees Her Ass, Then Her Mind Will Follow.

Let me just add that it seemed to me that Oprah herself tried to take Fantasia under her wing at the time Fantasia was starring in "The Color Purple" on stage. Look how well that mentoring experience went.

It reminds me of a quote from Theodore Roosevelt about his crazyass daughter Alice. He said basically " I can be President or I can control Alice, I can not do both".

The only way Oprah could have done anything for Fantasia is if she gave up T.V. and the Magazine. Fantasia needs her own personal Oprah 24/7 for at least 2 years. She just not fabulous enough to survive her own stupidity. When there was that Bet tribute ( I think it was BET) to Chaka Khan I realized that Fantasia wasn't top shelf. Chaka's stupid drug use hurt her career but Chaka is top shelf so she is still legendary. I just don't see Fantasia doing great things at 35. She'll be on drug and codependent-no-more rehab shows and that is about it.
