During the VR era they would say 40 million albums and at the WMA's in 1999 they awarded her for selling over 65 million albums. Around All For You promotion, they would say over 50 million. The 100 million figure started during the Number Ones era, so they must be including singles sales and sales that weren't counted. I remember tracking soundscan for All For You and it's at at least 3.1 million so it's silly how that one is still 2 times platinum in the US when we know it isn't. Do you really believe RN and janet. are close to diamond platinum? That would mean they outdid Bad and Dangerous, though I read a very long time ago Bad is at 15 million in the US though it never, ever came up again and they stuck with the 8 times platinum figure. And I know they didn't mean worldwide, cause they had everyone else's about right (it was a Billboard charts book) but I saw that and it's too bad I didn't have a camera on my phone then to capture it.

Janet is doing this tour to keep herself busy. If you think this tour will generate any more sales to her Numbers Ones album - you're a fool. She's promoting herself to get back on the road and basically re-patch her image as a touring act. You say “Don’t worry, Janet will re-certify soon” – It’s been more than 10 years and counting! Be logical!! If she didn’t do it then, she won’t do it now! Also this has nothing to do with Janet not selling these days and it’s not a cop out.
