Yeah, it's definitely rare. I even tried youtube to see if anyone had a clip, but nothing. I did try google again and this time I found something, but I don't think it's from the series. It looks like it might be from Good Times or maybe just a personal pic.

Janet's North American leg of "Ones" tour opens in Texas
Posted on 3/03/2011 10:52:00 PM ET Janet's Number Ones Up Close and personal tour kicked off tonight in Hidalgo, Texas at the State Farm arena. Artistic Director and friend Gil Duldulao tweeted a photo of the tour merchandise booth just prior to the concert, indicating that there were tour books and shirts available. Gil is also a dancer on this leg of the tour. Also, according to a twitter posting by forum member outwithme, who was live-tweeting from the arena, Janet added several new songs to the show, including "All Nite (Don't Stop)," "I Get Lonely," and "Diamonds."

Janet Jackson shows Hidalgo some loveMarch 03, 2011 10:57 PM
The Monitor
HIDALGO — Janet Jackson performing in the Rio Grande Valley was a big deal for local fans — especially Mary Sanchez, Jessica Gazca and Becky Lopez. The three All Valley Home Health co-workers stood in line taking turns snapping photos of one another with their camera phones. The three were dressed in matching black T-shirts with ‘I Love Janet’ screenprinted on the front.
For Gazca, Jackson stands alone among other pop artists. “She’s just an icon,” the 27-year-old said. “I mean, she’s so much different than other ones, I mean, everybody looks up to her. She’s just different.” Jackson brought her Number Ones: Up Close and Personal World Tour 2011 to State Farm Arena in Hidalgo as part of the city’s 35th annual cultural event, BorderFest. Jackson chose 35 cities to perform 35 of her biggest hits, and she dedicated one song to each city. Before Jackson took the stage at the arena, large screens showed an intro video about her tour and then a quote from the singer, dedicating the song “All Nite (Don’t Stop)” to the city of Hidalgo.
Jackson’s extensive résumé in music impressed Gazca, who was mostly familiar with the singer’s latest albums. “She’s done so much,” she said. “So many albums, and great songs. Her music’s just awesome.” Sanchez, who lives in Edinburg, was simply surprised to see Jackson in South Texas. “Never did you think that she’d be coming to the Valley,” the 40-year-old said. Weslaco resident Nelda Gonzalez brought her 15-year-old daughter Miranda to see the pop icon, and hoped to see some of her favorite songs and dance moves from the star. Nelda loves nearly everything about Jackson, including her appearance, music and the way she moves.
“Just beautiful moves, dancing moves ... she comes from a family of singers, so of course, Michael Jackson ... but Janet has always had her own little style,” the 43-year-old said. “It’s just the way they present themselves. She has that.” Jackson appeared amid a cloud of fog and opened with her 1987 song, “The Pleasure Principle.” Poured into a skintight leather ensemble, the pop queen barely broke a sweat as she transitioned into her mega-hit “Control.”
Backed by a half-dozen dancers clad in military-inspired costumes with 1980s-like shoulder pads, Jackson teased the crowd asking, “Do you want this?” When Jackson wasn’t dancing and singing, she strutted across the stage, declaring her love for Hidalgo and sending the audience into a frenzy each time. “I always wanted to see her, back in my youth,” Nelda said. “And now that she’s here, it’s like, hey, let’s go, you know?” --

I haven't been this excited over janet in a little while... But im so happy for her she really deserves this.... Janet deserves to get her respect and recognition... she is an ICON, LEGEND.
Just because there are ignorant people out there who don't know one janet jackson song, is not a reflection on janet, its a reflection on someone who is closed mind.

Why would you think she was joking?

Because... she's been playing in small venues...

Some of the venues are not "that" small. Smaller than arenas, but still big nonetheless. "Get up off that grey line"

Neva. They've banned us from creating multiple Janet threads, so this is the place new info will be posted (unless someone wants to go rogue and start another Janet thread). "Get up off that grey line"
