I thought it was supposed to be about her book "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

All in all, I thought it was a wonderful interview. Could've done without all the MJ stuff, but at least Janet seemed a little more open than usual. I will be getting that book tomorrow for sure. "Get up off that grey line"

She looks gorgeous and baby-oiled down! Janet always makes male interviewers melt... "Get up off that grey line"

Janet's interviews should be about her and her own projects. If they wanna talk about Mike, interview the other siblings. It's really not like they have anything going on

Damn. I just saw the Today interview. Good to see her more open but damn. I forgot to note how many minutes of the interview was about her & Michael. It had to be the majority of the interview. I guess she's used to it by now but damn. They had to squeeze in the promotion of the book and the exercise stuff with her trainer in the last few minutes.
Maybe Piers Morgan will respect her enough to focus on her and her career. He supposed to be a good interviewer (they say). We'll see.
Meredith was fine I guess, just too many Mike questions for me. I guess its a ratings thing. *Tune in to hear how Janet really feels about her brother Michael's death. Or what does Janet have to say about Michael's doctor, Conrad Murray? Give me a freakin break already. How long are they going to milk that story? I guess until it doesn't sell anymore.....
Sorry for the vent.... | |

She looks delicious. Good enough to eat.

They only care about her brother. I just wish Janet had the will to say "SHUT UP!"

I missed the interview. Did she talk about anything new?

^ New: - She used to bang her head on the wall because she felt ugly

LMFAO! Thanks! | |

She usually has her publicist warn interviewers not to bring him up. I guess its okay for now since she has a book to promote.

the questions they asked janet about mike wasnt that bad imo, it was the other stuff that was annoying, all the clips and the narative. it was like a mj documentary at one point.we already heard all the mj stuff, janet's book seems very interesting.

For a while Janet had a period where interviewers were told there were two no-go areas:
1. The Superbowl 2. Michael.
She stopped discussing Michael in most interviews following TVR and for the most part wouldn't discuss him, which you can understand as she was probably over being "Michael's voice piece" or always being seen as Michael's sister.
I did notice in more recent years she was more willing to discuss Michael (within reason) and I guess now with this book tour, the topic will come up.
I just hope after it's all been said, future interviews will just concentrate on Janet and her music. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

Oh God...I swear I cried during this interview. She is such a courageous, amazing woman. The things she's been thru...I can't help but relate. I'm gonna go out tomorrow and buy her book, I think I can learn more about her (and perhaps a little about myself). But two date in Toronto are not ENOUGH, girl! West Coast of Canada pretty please!
I don't know why y'all getting your knickers in a twist because of Piers bringing up Michael. I think Piers did an excellent job in his interview, especially when he brought that up. He acknowledged Michael's good qualities (i.e he point out Michael had an incredible smile and his advice to Diana) and asked her decent questions about Michael. Nothing seemingly underhanded. And really, there was no avoiding it. But the majority of the interview was about her. Only about 10 minutes were used in discussing Michael. And she seemed to be recalling happy memories and I just loved how her face lit up when she was thinking about it.
All in all, I enjoyed the interview and I wish her the best. I really do love this lady and I wish I could meet her someday

FYI, we were talking about the NBC Dateline interview, not the Pier's one.

Oh dear. My mistake then...
But Piers did a good job and I liked it better than when Larry King did it. [Edited 2/15/11 19:48pm]

I loved it when she spoke of Michael and herself buying dinners and passing them out to the homeless. Her face truly did light up. And Latoya iz a diva, dahlin'! "Get up off that grey line"

It seems she's stopped doing that in recent years. This Piers Morgan interview is quite possibly the best interview she's done in years

Its the best ever to me. Piers asked her some real good questions made her feel relaxed and it didn't seem forced. Janet is a real sweet person in person to. No attitude...He brought it out. I like the way he brought MJ into it without prying her like Meredith did.... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

I enjoyed watching the Piers interview. He was respectful of her and her accomplishments. Asked decent questions. Brought out her sense of humor a little bit. Didn't delve into the conventional "Michael Jackson Documentary" like most interviewers do, (I see ya Meredith ) Overall, it was good promotion for her book as it was supposed to be.
Not to change the subject but I'm I the only one that get the impression that Joseph also screwed the kids up to think that "white is right", or we got to assimilate to appeal to the "masses" or "whitefolk" to sell more records? What do you guys think?

That's a no duh moment right there lol
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah, I figured I was stating the obvious but was wondering if any of the Jackson kids ever came out and stated Joseph said something like that.
