Cinnie said: Her name is hugely famous, but if she keeps making sex fetish music videos, she will never appeal to the people who want to buy her albums, and look like she is chasing a different fanbase, not just a different look/sound. Can't we get down to the main reason Bionic wasn't embraced? Her weird video!! "Not Myself Tonight" the song was bubbling until the video aired, then it plummeted. No fans wanted to embrace a gag ball and lord knows what else crazy stuff she was trying to throw at the wall. This was years after "Dirrty" and I swear she has been doing damage control since that hot stinky mess. She should have remembered that when she wanted to compete with Gaga. She forgot (again) that her fanbase are in a different lane. She just needs to "come back" to the fans she left behind.

Honest to God this should be removed from the Internet if she wants a comeback:

That definitely put a REAL damper on her career.

What the fuck was that? The song isn't that bad, but pairing a video like that makes the song annoying. She's basically pulled Madonna's "human nature" theme in this video. Bingo. The reason why Britney is still able to sell very well and have impressive numbers, despite lacking material, is simply because she has loyal fans who will always stand by her. She has created a niche for herself in the industry - a sound and an image (well, and a notorious tabloid life). She doesn't have to switch and re-do her identity. She keeps her fans happy and the fans keep her paid.

Britney doesnt create media wars with other female artists. Britney doesnt try to "reinvent" herself because she doesnt need to her fans love her for who she is and what she does Britney will never release a weak first single after such a long break. Britney chooses a time period to release her album where she will shine bright Britney knows how to keep the public interested in her in her off-season Britney allows her fans to have a role in her career as she knows they are the one supporting her.

Lol at Britney "does this" and "does that" Bitch, doesn't do shit. She has already reached that status in her career where she can release an album with just her munching on cheetos will generate publicity and sales. Hell, all she does on stage is walk around and flap her arms. Xtina is just the 2nd wheel. Even if she tries hard (as she alway does) people will pay her no mind because her name isn't big as other female artists. Even when she was on the come up she was always second fiddle. She still hasn't established herself because she doesn't have a brand or sound of her own.

In the light of recent events: DEFINITELY NOT!

Christina Aguilera has a shitty rep in the industry and she's totally abandoned her fans multiple times.
She already got her second chance. "Back To Basics" put her in a prime spot and she blew it. She's always been second-fiddle because vocal gymnastics do not a song make. Christina's albums have all suffered from the same shit Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey albums suffered from: a whole lot of filler tracks that would never be heard of again. Fill an album with 10-12 solid tracks or stay in the fucking studio.
Bionic was a terrible record.

Human Nature had an actual purpose though, being honest sexually and not being afraid of it. Here, Xtina is being typically "freaky" for freaky's sake, so it looks contrived and boring despite the attempt. time flies.

seems like her whole career is based on comparisons to other Disney chicks, and the realization that XTina "can actually sing"
Unfortunatrely she sings unpleasantly, and isn't nearly as sexy as the other disney chicks My Legacy

It seems Xtina is always forever missing the boat-she also has never set any trends, either. Her biggest issue is that the public is just indifferent to her. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I don't know. Personally I'm over her. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I absolutely think she could be.
I think the problem is that she does too much now. She's trying too hard to stick out, shock, be sexy and make an 'impact'.
I keep hoping that one day she'll just do a simple album full of really good songs where she sings her heart out; and do a tour where she stays fully-dressed the entire time and there's little to no theatrics, just a band backing her and her standing there singing.
More along the lines of the earlier part of her career; or early Mariah. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

Honestly? No.
I've always thought she was really attractive and wondered why people never seem to notice or mention that, like "Am I the only one who sees that she's actually really hot?" "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

You kidding me? Back to Basics was great and it's a damn near miracle considering she was feuding with the producers WHILE recording the fucking thing.
Her big ol bean-shaped head looked good in the Back to Basics hair, too. It accentuated her features instead of making her ears look huge and like she was Minnie Mouse.

Back to Baseless is a Mess, horrible , lifeless, stale production ...
What the hell feuding with producers have to do anything with the record ? she can feud with producers (artists cope with that all that time ) and still release a good album....so , lame excuse...
where is the album now? sure right down the toilet.

Seeingvoices doesn't like anybody not named Michael Jackson don't pay too much attention.
Back to Basics was good. Floptina only delivered one horrific album in her career and that was the mess that was Bionic.

She's not doing THAT bad Sure she's having a shitty year but there's obviously still interest in her.

sure, she could have a solid career recovery. She has a terrific voice - the problem is that she oversings everything, and the material is often weak... and she (or her managers) don't seem to make the best decisions. She's always sorta trailing along in someone else's wake.
What she needs to do is just get a solid collection of good dance/pop songs, with some classiness to them, put out some killer remixes with some of the top guys, and see what happens. She has the name recognition and enough talent to always have a decent career. Whether she will ever again get to the top of the charts - - doubtful.
But the public loves a redemption story, so who knows... it's basically up to her.
But judging from her career so far, I doubt she has what it takes to dig herself out of this hole. * * *

first time ive watched that video, instantly recognized elements of "Human Nature" and "Express Yourself" videos in it.
There just seems to be no actual conviction about it...just doing it for the sake of it RIP 1958-2016 Prince RIP 1947-2016 David Bowie
