She oversings EVERYTHING. It gets very tiresome. And it doesn't work with electro. The whole "Bionic" project just felt like she was trying WAY too hard to be down with the trends.

True. When she did that James Brown cut i was speechless.......neutral

In a good way?

I agree with you guys that she oversings so much. That has been my big issue with her. She can sing, but she tends to do too many riffs and runs and everything else that she shouldn't do all of the time.

I would love to hear Christina do a jazzy album. I really liked her remake of "A Song For You" with Herbie Hancock.

One of her better performances.

people love nothing more than to pick someone up out off the gutter again

once they've completely ignored them for a while.

she'll be back. let's hope she'll see the light and start making some decent

adult music in the meantime.

Christina has a voice, but she is not likable and doesn't come off as vulnerable and she dearly lacks an "it" factor.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no.

I just ... don't think so.

I think she was very savvy up thru the Back 2 Basics period, but even that was pushing it.

I think she went too far with trying to be a 'real' artist - bitch you didn't earn that yet.

You should have stuck to POP and being the pop star you are/were for a few more records post - Stripped. Hell, even do a full R&B makeover.

But i think in general though it sold decently and actually well, B2B was the beginning of the end.

If you remember, way before Bionic - that greatest hits Target cd FLOPPED - HARD.

I think even before B2B she had to cancel a tour with Chingy.

Britney only had ONE flop period of her career - and the single was still HUGE (Gimme More).

XXXtina - was never as popular, period. the numbers don't lie.

I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

She probably needs to try a different career if she's gonna stay afloat some kind of way. She hasn't really been a big seller though. And if she's going to make another album, she may have to compromise her vocals so it wouldn't appear that she's singing for a supper that's never coming. Bi-On-Ic or whatever it was titled as was released at a bad time as it was anyways.

Her name is hugely famous, but if she keeps making sex fetish music videos, she will never appeal to the people who want to buy her albums, and look like she is chasing a different fanbase, not just a different look/sound.

It seems Xtina is always forever missing the boat-she also has never set any trends, either. Her biggest issue is that the public is just indifferent to her.

On a level, she needs to call up David Frank from The System and see if he'll produce some more stuff for her. He produced and co-wrote "Genie In A Bottle" - probably still her best song.

I can honestly say I love damn near every song David's ever even had the slightest involvement in. That guy is a genius.

As much as I love Christina's work Bionic was just not good. It had some good songs but its was too mixed up. If she was gonna do an electro sound she should have done like maybe 8-12 songs and kept off the ballads. Bionic goes from one sound to another and then back around again. I love musical variety but this just did not work. I think she will bounce back. She has the talent, but she needs to do her own thing again. Stripped and Back to Basics sounded great. She was trendy yet it was her own thing. Bionic is just a misstep.

Bionic had no commercial or critical success and Rihanna who was a singles artist has outsold her. It should not be this way.

Also, she's on RCA and they have the tendency to pull the plug on projects when their artists don't do well. She has to have success with her next album. Fans will get less singles, videos, and tours.

I don't think it will either. There's too many other pop stars out right now anyway. You have Beyonce, Britney, and Lady Gaga making come backs this year. Christina stayed out of the public eye for far too long. Her Bionic era was a complete mess. I was a fan of hers many years ago when she first came out and I was hoping she would have a decent comeback, but that failed. I just can't get into her anymore. She has let herself go now too, it's like she doesn't care about her image. Plus, idg why she got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That still boggles my mind. lol

I thought that video was the cd version which she does a really good job on.

This live performance in an embarrassment.
