Kenny Rogers, Kim Carnes, & James Ingram ~ What About Me? You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I love some Kenny Rogers.
I like guys that aren't great singers, but sing their ass off. That goes a long way. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

GREA GREAT GREAT!
All fantastic artist's
But i must say Kim is way to underrated, she has so many better SO SO SO MANY better song's besides Bette Davis Eyes. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I'm not a Kenny Rogers fan but I really like this song and his duet with Sheena Easton - "We've Got Tonight".

I got this album (also called "what about me?"). For a song so MOR, at least the subject matter was abit interesting. Very soapy LOL.
And yes Richard Marx composed it with Rogers and David Foster. David Foster to me personally was at his peak around the mid 80's yet his work on that album is below par I feel. Even the track "what about me?", produced with Kenny Rogers, is very ordinary for him. At least "The night goes on" has abit of momentum and feels more like classic Foster.
His album from 1986 produced by Jay Graydon was alot better I feel, though to be fair David Foster only had a hand in producing half of "what about me?", with Rogers doing the rest of the production duties himself.
