Jermaine Jackson ~ Good For The Gander

This track was recorded in Philadelphia with some of the Gamble & Huff musicians and produced by Norman Harris & Ron Tyson. I think Ron is the same guy who joined The Temptations in the early 1980's

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

This song (and acompaning album) was, coincidently recorded at the same time as the his brothers were in Philadelphia recording for there new record label.

This is the only track to pop up from these sessions Jermaine. It was to be titled "Color My World Love." It was his 2nd straight Motown album to be shelved (in 75, his album Do Unto Others was also shelved as his brothers were battlinh with Motown.)

Around 16 songs were recorded in the Philadelphia sessions. Bobby Eli was talking about it in some soul music forum. I don't remember what the site was called though. There was a link to it at MJJC. I'll go there later and see if it's still there.
