Q-Tip has revealed that his upcoming album The Last Zulu features songs in three languages.

Recorded in English, French and Spanish, the record is said to be a gift to his fans for sticking by him throughout his lengthy career, reports Entertainment Weekly.

"I feel like my fans have been so gracious over the years," he said.

"They're so smart that I want to extend the grace back to them and speak to them in their tongues. I'm going to have to brush up!"

Q-Tip went on to reveal that the album - which he plans to begin recording full-time in February 2011 - will feature elements of vintage hip-hop.

"It's going to take us back to the days of when it was breakbeats, when [Grandmaster] Flash and [Afrika] Bambaataa was throwing on them hard beats," he explained.

"It's going to have a lot of that energy, and it's going to feel really big and anthemic. It's going to be unlike anything I've done before."

The Last Zulu has a tentative release date set in autumn 2011.

I kinda felt like he took it back on this Renaissance song:

Maybe he's going to take it back even further, but it gave me that Calliope Studios vibe:

Like, so he has the album title and concept, but won't start working on it until Valentine's-ish? lol OKAY

Good Luck Tip! Hopefully he's able to stay true to his vision throughout the process. So many have promised certain things before and only ended up changing things along the way.

After all it was him who taught us that, "Industry rule # 4080, record company people are shady."
