What happened to the "Teena Marie RIP" thread? I took my eye off of it for a minute, and now it's completely gone! First: No sticky, Now: No thread?!?

'Someone' should've been ignored and I know it's hard but . . . . Just in case this happens again, lets all keep this in mind shall we?

I listened to the tribute and it spoke volumes about Ms. Marie's talent, I didn't hear a weak song. Ol' school, musicianship, could sing anything and everything, incorporated many genres and still developed her own style.

And yet that messed up thread about Rick and Teena hype lurks vast and wide like the setting sun. What is up with this? Does anyone answer for these choices? If so, the answer must be easily and readily evident, no? It seems like somebody should speak on this.

Chalk-up one WIN for the TROLL, lol. That's what happens when you try to argue, reason, or fight with a TROLL: They find your sensitive spot, then hammer at it until you give in to what they desire most; your heated energy. Their ultimate goal, of course, is to disrupt the harmonious flow of conversation, to bring discussions down in flames. The solution is simple, effective, tried & true: Don't Feed The Troll. Once identified, IGNORE them (...with nothing to eat, they take their miserable ass back down under the bridge and wait for the next unsuspecting goat to happen by, lol). Oh sure, they'll test you once, maybe twice again. But once they're certain they're being ignored, they hang their head and walk away in disappointment (...with stomach growling, lol).

Also, keep track of TROLLS on your "Buddy List", with a little note to self regarding their M.O. (...method of operation). It will help keep you from stepping in the next steaming pile of doo-doo when they resurface (unless they sign-up under yet another alias, which is common Troll behavior), lol. Because there's one thing you can count on... THEY'LL BE BACK! (...they have NOTHING else to do, lol.)

It seems that the administrators should speak out at this point. No sticky as the situation calls for, or as many orgers have asked for. A whole tribute thread to a stalwart member-driven org topic is disappeared? Something is not right here in Denmark.

It's this type of attitude that promotes the status quo while more and more orgers leave. Ya know, the slogan could have easily been "Change, ehh, a nice thought but I am happy to believe in the status quo. It's easier that way."

+1 BIG time on EVERYTHING Sos & Sug said (Pdog too...but that's not the point).

With the ability to edit posts selectively and at will (as they do on the various STAN-Sticky-Jerk-Off threads every day)......why this troll wasn't simply snipped outta the posts & banned is beyond me.

MODS: You were all MIA as this major event went down & unfolded here on the Org (Teena's Death). At my last recollection, that RIP thread had HUNDREDS of heartfelt & salient replys and over 30,000 looks. Whacking the entire thread over ANY Mod enforceable dust-up...is seemingly an incomprehisibly horrid act (esp given the subject matter of the thread).

Editorial oversight on this board is usually even-handed, reasonable & understandable.....I think you guys usually do a great job. But I'm sorry. This one is inexcusable, IMO.

Out of respect for our members & this community... I respectfully sugest that one of you (June, Luv or Anxiety) PUBLICLY sound off on what happened to a thread that prolific & concerning one of the most significant losses in many of our music-loving lifetimes. If it was some simple mistake..I think we could forgive that. Barring that, an explanation is in order...just to make this fiasco at least comprehensible.

OK, I think yesterday, I had given luv an orgnote to ban Cornelius. I even reported one of his posts. Luv had it "reviewed" and that's when I discovered she had taken it out altogether.

I just ORGnoted her why she did that. Probably the excuse would be "too many posts" or something.

I mean I'm sure she probably thought she did some good but I can understand the anger.

Anxiety resigned a long time ago and June7 has directed his attention at other priorities which leaves one active mod within this forum. And the problem is, sure, your intentions may mean well but---oh, darn, I aint gonna bring up the "C" word again. You all know where I am going with this.
