I'm gonna get flamed here but that album drives me nuts. I can't get into it as there is far too much going on! Maybe im not funky enough but a lot of the whole Parliament thing goes over my head. I can listen to a couple of songs but a whole album of Parliament leaves my brain exhausted!

What do you mean there is too much going on,and why does the whole Parliament thing go over your head?

Not speaking on his behalf but the inference is he prefers some rocky rock to some funky funk. I diagnose him as a Funkadelic groupie rather than a parliamentarian.

I am a Funkadelic groupie i think its also the fact that a lot of Parliament lyrics are simply about funk music and it wears a bit thin over the course of a whole album. I know there is a lot of social commentary hidden in their lyrics but to hear music about partying just wears me down after a while. Thats probably why i like Chocolate City as an album. Lyrically it makes more sense to me. I do like Funkentelechy, Worrells keyboards are staggering. It's just taken as a whole it just wears me out.
