Wow, this is great! I never knew she could actually sing... "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

I remember her song "Addictive" that she made with Rakim years ago.. didn't know she could sing like this.. great video, girl! May you rest in peace, my beautiful queen, Teena Marie

That was great. Ya'll should check out her second album Raphael Saadiq produced called Ready Now. To me, it was a much better album than her debut- which I thought was a joke.
Raphael worked well with her. It came out in 2004

to Truth Hurts.
And it's a shame that her then-producer Dr.Dre was NOT successful producing tracks for her at all. Even now, she still has potential.

Yeah, I loved Ready Now. As far as Truthfully Speaking, I thought- for the most part- they were trying to make her into this hard chick- but it didn't come off right to me- all the cursing seemed forced to me.

Really? I thought it was full of sloppy seconds material. Ray is a great producer but I don't think he gave her his A material. Its a decent record never the less.

I actaully liked it overall. I think Dr. Dre gave her sloppy material to work with. I can't even listen to her first album except for Addictive and maybe one or 2 other songs.
