It's odd, I think that sounds like the key it was actually recorded in. The first version I heard was lower, but I think this sounds more like the actual key.

Yeah. He did let Motown use "Buttercup". And there's another song that was played that apparently Stevie composed, so that could be out on the next issue of unreleased Motown tracks.

Stevie hasn't really been known to spread gossip or reveal anything. I actually commend him for doing that because Will was doing too much and Teddy Riley was doing too much.

"The Way You Love Me" is definitely a Motown-esque song, reminiscent of what Stevie, Smokey and Marvin were doing in the '60s and '70s.

That's very true. I think the older generation is more reserve and professional like that. Motown, especially, they were always taught to speak carefully in public because of the impact it would have on their image. I think the whole lashing out and talking trash is something you see a lot in the newer generation. No discipline, no concern for consequences on your image.

Bodyguard: Jackson doc said to put vials in bag

By LINDA DEUTSCH AP Special Correspondent J

an. 5, 2011, 4:05PM

LOS ANGELES — As Michael Jackson's lifeless body lay on a bed in his palatial mansion, a bodyguard obeyed a frantic doctor's instructions to bag up medicine bottles and intravenous bags and shield the Jackson children from seeing their father — all before being told to call 911, court testimony revealed Wednesday.

Alberto Alvarez said he was the first security guard to reach Jackson's room after word came that something was wrong. He described a shocking scene.

The King of Pop was on his bed connected to an IV tube and a urinary catheter. His eyes and mouth were open, and Dr. Conrad Murray was leaning over him doing one-handed chest compressions to try to revive him.

Alvarez said he was "frozen" at the sight.

"I said, 'Dr. Murray, what happened?' And he said, 'He had a reaction. He had a bad reaction,'" Alvarez recalled.

The testimony came during a preliminary hearing to determine if Murray, the singer's personal physician, will be tried on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

Authorities contend Murray gave Jackson a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and other sedatives in the bedroom of his rented mansion before he died on June 25, 2009.

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said in his opening statement that Jackson was already dead when Murray summoned help and tried to conceal his administering of propofol to the pop star, ordering the bodyguard to collect items before paramedics were called.

Murray was providing Jackson propofol roughly six times a week since being hired as the singer's personal physician in May 2009, as Jackson prepared for a series of comeback concerts, Walgren said.

On the witness stand, Alvarez recalled Jackson's children Paris and Prince walking into the room during the effort to revive their father.

"Paris screamed, 'Daddy!' and she started to cry. Dr. Murray said, 'Get them out. Don't let them see him like this,'" the bodyguard said.

Alvarez's voice choked as he described Paris crying and he took a moment to compose himself.

"I said, 'children, don't worry, we'll take care of this.' And I escorted them out and left the door ajar," Alvarez said.

In the courtroom audience, Jackson's mother, Katherine, dabbed at her eyes during the most detailed public account yet of events surrounding the death of her son. She came to court with her husband, Joe, and children Randy, Janet and LaToya. They made no eye contact with Murray across the courtroom.

They heard Alvarez testify that he helped Murray bag the medicine and saw an unidentified "white milky substance" in the bottom of an intravenous bag.

"He just grabbed a handful of bottles, or vials, and he instructed me to put them in a bag," Alvarez testified, adding Murray also told him to place an intravenous bag into another sack.

"Is it true that 911 had not been called yet?" Walgren asked.

"That's true," Alvarez replied.

After collecting everything and bagging it, Alvarez said, Murray told him to call 911. The prosecutor then played a recording of the call.

Alvarez was heard on the tape telling the 911 operator that Jackson's private doctor was there, and she responded that he would be "the higher authority."

When the operator said to transfer Jackson to the floor, Alvarez grabbed Jackson's legs and Murray grabbed his upper body. He said at that point he noticed the IV in Jackson's leg that had to be removed. Alvarez also saw that Jackson had the urinary catheter.

Alvarez said Murray then asked him to give Jackson chest compression, while Murray did mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Murray said, "'You know this is the first time I give mouth-to-mouth but I have to do it because he's my friend,'" Alvarez recalled.

"Did it appear he was breathing," Walgren asked.

"No sir," Alvarez said.

"His eyes and mouth were open?" the prosecutor asked.

"Yes," the witness said.

"Did he seem to be alive or dead?" Walgren asked.

"Dead, sir," Alvarez said.

In his opening statement Tuesday, Walgren said Murray had waited as long as 21 minutes before paramedics were called and that Jackson had died before help was summoned.

The testimony could support the prosecutors' argument that Murray's actions demonstrated "an extreme deviation from the standard of care" by administering propofol without the proper equipment, and also concealing it and botching efforts to resuscitate the singer.

Murray, a Houston cardiologist, has pleaded not guilty, and his attorneys have contended he did not give Jackson anything that should have killed the singer.

Defense lawyers did not deliver an opening statement at the hearing. Murray could face up to four years in prison if convicted.

I was jamming to the Triumph album on my way to work today and I was listening to "Walk Right Now". When the break down at the end came on, I found myself singing Princes "Little Red Corvette" does anyone hear the similarities in the songs?

It starts at 5:47-6:00

Does anyone else find it disturbing that this "Doctor" is only charged with "INVOLUNTARY manslaughter" but adminsistered Propofol outside of a hospital setting, left michael alone to go make F**king phone calls, and then when he comes back in the room and finds michael NOT BREATHING He has the nerve to call a bodyguard and his 12 yr old son prince to watch his father die, while he does ONE HANDED CPR ON A SOFT BED , like wtf and all the security tapes in the house conviently are missing..... something is deffinatly up hmph!

The legal system is all about intent - Murray didn't intend to murder Michael, but by his actions he lead to the death - thus manslaughter (i don't think there is such as thing as voluntary manslaughter).

yea but with all the evidence, including the fact that murray lied about how much propofol he had given to michael (which is present in the autopsy report), and testimony of the bodyguard who witnessed him trying to cover up the scene and instructing him to pick up empty vials of propofol and other seditives & hide them BEFORE he called 911, he should be tryed for murder.... even if not premeditated , still he deserves more than 4 years if convicted. disbelief

Initially the prosecutors wanted a second degree murder charge but with the addict talks it is impossible. I hope the judge is fair and competent and can see through the BS: let's see if they only charge Murray and nobody else because this is his and only his fault.

Ubisoft's Michael Jackson Game Hits 2 Million Units

It was a good holiday for Ubisoft's Michael Jackson: The Experience. The Wii, DS and PSP title based on the late pop superstar has sold through 2 million units altogether - with over 90 percent of the sales attributed to the Wii platform alone, in North American, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The 2 million figure comes prior to the game's Japan launch "later this year"; Japan, says Ubisoft, "has one of the largest and most passionate concentrations of Michael Jackson fans anywhere."

Ubisoft will launch Kinect and Move versions of the music and dance game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 12 in North America and on the 14 in other territories save for Japan, where the launch will come later. The company says it's made some new additions to the Kinect and Move versions, such as the songs "Blood on the Dance Floor" and "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," among other Michael Jackson hits soon to be revealed.

The Kinect version will make use of the same proprietary body-tracking projection technology Ubisoft implemented in Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, applied here with the aim of making players feel more like the environments of Michael Jackson's videos. It'll also add co-op and battle modes for up to four players.

The Move edition will feature exclusive Facebook integration, so that players can auto-update their pages on the social network with progress, pictures and other achievements from their playtime. Players will have some options with the available hardware, selecting from Move controller only, microphone only, or both. The "Michael Jackson School" mode can use the PlayStation Eye camera so that players can see themselves on the screen while learning dance moves.

"Our teams have worked enthusiastically to build an experience that recreates the magic worlds of Michael Jackson's videos and performances," says Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

The late King of Pop's estate is also apparently pleased with the game; executors John Branca and John McClain say they're "extremely thrilled" with the response to the game. "The passion they are showing for learning and performing Michael's signature dance moves to the songs they have loved for years is a tribute to his amazing legacy," they said in a statement.
