I am looking at how tickets are selling from Janet's own presale and really, THIS is how Prince should be selling tickets for his shows. JJ's got her own presale and her own website for folks to buy tickets at a REASONABLE price, but still be up close. I already bought a ticket thru TM because I didn't wanna risk the JJ presale selling out, but she's got pretty decent seats for not much more than I paid for the seat I've got. Why Prince isn't doing this kinda stuff is beyond me. I mean I know he doenst have major label backing but still? How hard could be be to do something like this?
Anyhoo, did anyone get tixx thru the Janet presale? [Edited 1/14/11 9:59am] Prince esta muerto...

My guess is the $250 tix are for the first 3-4 rows in pit only (AAA-DDD). Then the first half of the orchestra (rows AA-ZZ) would be price level 2, $125 and the back half of the floor (rows A-W) are $99.50. Can anyone confirm?
That sounds about right. My seat is in Row O in Orchestra and I paid 99 plus the TM fee which ended up being 116 total.
My ticket was price level 2 in the first mezzanine, second row. I requested that specific section so I can get a good view of the entire stage with only one row of people in front of me. I don't have to be in the orchestra on the floor for Janet. |

Yeah, and it was a bit dramatic at first. Yesterday, the presale was up but I didn't have enuff fundage on my $ card, so I loaded it up when I left work yesterday, and by the time I got home her site was crashing big time. I attempted all nite to get the tickets, but no luck. Initially, the presale was only supposed to last until 10pm last nite, so needless to say I was mortified. When I got to work this morning, I decided to give it another go, and discovered that more presale tickets were still available! I kept hitting refresh until I got a decent seat and snatched it with the quickness. [Edited 1/14/11 10:09am] "Get up off that grey line" |

The presale for the SF venue just started this morning at 10 a.m. I snagged a center seat on the main floor for $99.00 and I am really happy! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Someone PLEASE tell me that selling out on a pre-sale doesn't mean that all tickets for the show are sold out. Just checked her site and no tixx available. I'm on Ticketmaster and STILL can't get any tickets. I'm going to be really angry if the whole NY show is sold out
I should've rescheduled my job interview. For real

I got tickets this morning for orchestra section 1 row Q at Radio City music hall.
I have never been there. Are the Orchestra seats elevated at all
If not, would I still be able to see the entire stage? If so, I am considering figuring out a way to get a different seat at an upper level. Please let me know.
I appreciate it. |

FROM A NEW LA TIMES ARTICLE:
Janet Jackson sells out Gibson Amphitheatre in less than 10 minutes, adds additional date
Janet Jackson fans really couldn’t wait to see the pop diva.
After tickets to the April 14 Los Angeles date of her newly announced "Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour" went on sale at 10 a.m. Friday morning, they sold out in less than 10 minutes, according to a spokesman for Live Nation.
To try to keep up with the demand, Jackson and Live Nation have added an additional Gibson Amphitheatre performance for Friday, April 15.
Jackson previously made news when she broke Beyonce’s attendance record when headlining the 2010 Essence Music Festival. After selling out the Louisiana Superdome -- where the annual festival is held -- Jackson reportedly commanded the first-ever waiting list for the Festival with additional seats erected and sold behind the stage.
For this trek, Jackson called on her fans to vote for the 35 cities (one for each of her 35 No. 1 hits) that would constitute the itinerary, with dates in Singapore, Hong Kong and Manila being the first to be announced.
"These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done. I will be as up close and personal as possible," Jackson said in a statement. "These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I'll be singing and dancing from my heart. The music will all be songs that you've made number ones for me. Let's go!”
Tickets for her second L.A. date are on sale through Live Nation and Ticketmaster "Get up off that grey line" |

Janet Jackson’s ‘Number Ones, Up Close and Personal’ tour has already broken records! After being made available via Live Nation at 10am on Friday, January 14th, tickets for the show at the Gibson Amphitheatre sold out in less than 10 minutes.
To compensate for the icon’s demand, an additional date at the venue has been scheduled for April 15th. Tickets are available via Live Nation and Ticketmaster
