Lotta thangs are missing in the damn "Just Whitney" LP

I followed Whitney's newsletter eva since the start of making the "Just Whitney" and there're sevral producers/artists missing from the LP:

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis
Rodney Jerkins
Irv Gotti
Touch Of Jazz Prouction
David Foster & Diane Warren
Raphael Saadiq
Dallas Austin
P.Diddy

Now, I know already that she recorded them but the question is WHY shelv them?? They could've been a big help 4 her LP esp after it was leaked and if ya'll noticed it ain't the 80's no mo' so nobody put 10 tracks or less in an LP. Overall, this LP really grew in me, "Unashamed" would've gone str8 2 #1 if she released it as the 1st single,,I love it becoz you could hear the REAL angry Whitney. Try It On Me is a lovely ballad that could take you back 2 her early years and One of those days is the jam,,,I don't care what anybody say.

As 4 the label drama,,where Clive from all of this rolleyes how come he didn't invite her in that J-Records?? So when she was bringing him fat C-Notes she's the GREATEST singer of all the times but when she's down he throw her and go after Alicia's ass?? What a damn shame, of all the CEOs Clive had a very good image inside my head and now everything is twisted. I'm kinda concered about Alicia,,,who knows? Maybe he'll throw her ass out once she fuck up a step and look 4 another ghetto-braided hair female youngster.

This whole thing makes me very angry mad

Wasn't Whitney a no-show at Clive's tribute or something?

I think the CD is very good, not sensational, but very, very good. Honestly, I think the song, "Try It On My Own" is a very personal song that she sings to Clive Davis, her former mentor. Who knows what the status of their relationship is now that he isn't in charge of her career? But you know that if Clive was there, Whitney would have at least one song at the top of the charts. I don't think LA Reid can push the music industry buttons like Clive can. Clive has tremendous clout.

Her new song, "Love That Man" has that pepppy almost pop sound that pre-dates the more R&B Whitney. Now, if we could just pretend that she wasn't singing about hubby and frequent jail visitor, Bobby Brown, but rather someone like Denzel Washington, then I'm sure it would take off on the Adult Contemporary charts.

My personal favorite from the CD is "Tell Me No". I like this because this truly defines the Whitney Mega-Diva image, as a woman in control who won't be sidelined by critics, friends or anyone telling her she can't do something. "Tell me no, and I'll show you that I can. Tell me no, and I'll dig my feet right in. Tell me no, just tell me that I can't win. Come on and I'll show and prove you wrong." You go Whitney!

Overall, I play the CD all the time. Although the CD is only 10 tracks, I appreciate getting what little I can from Whitney. I just hope the next CD includes some of the material that was left off this CD.

Well, that leaves me with $.98 because I just gave my two cents!

Cheers!

where do I start?:certain tracks just didn't make the cut.La Reid had final say of the Album&picked what He wanted.you can't blame Clive Davis for "Rave" it was a weak Album period.Clive knows what He is doing.Clive got all He could from Whitney&Artists have to work with everybody else nowadays to stay on Radio.Clive's J Records is connected to Arista Records so it's not like it's not connected.Alica Keys will do well&She is following the Whitney Houston Blue-Print that Clive Davis does for His Artists.Something Borrowed,Something Blue&Something New.Clive got a along run out of Whitney from 85-98 so you can't ask for more.Whitney didn't want Clive's Control.but the difference is that Clive will tell a Artist what will work&won't work He is tuned to Music despite being Ear Deaf.He knows Music without even being able to find a Middle C.Prince got Loot up-front from Clive&picked His own Material&Acts to work with you can't blame nobody for what goes down.

As long as Whitney stays marrried to Bobby Brown and as long she keeps doing drugs,it really doesn't matter HOW her music sounds, nobody is gonna buy it.In pop music, image is everything and Whitney has done alot of damage to herself and to her career in recent years. That's the harsh reality.

with the Right Material nobody is gonna trip though.I Can still see Her pulling down 2-3 Million Copies provided She doesn't have to share Her Writers&Producers with the 3rd through 5th Tier Acts on the Label.it's all about the Songs&Whitney has always been different than Her Media Image but it's came back on her.but remember She pulled a Hit back in 98&She can do it again.SHe is only 39&with the Right Material She can be Back.
