These motherfuckers make the "Soul Train" dancers look like "American Bandstand" dancers. lol

I was in Detroit during the summer of '81 and I watched this show alot.I recall hearing The Time's debut single "Get It Up" for the very first time,on this show lol

Although I loved both shows, I always preferred The New Dance Show over The Scene.

Auntie Betty, Geezel Henry, Pam Thomas, JB, Lawanda, Salt Shaker, Fast Freddie. Man, they really had some characters on those shows. biggrin

The Scene had the late 70's to mid 80's on lock as far as Detroit dance music/culture goes.

But dont start on those commercials eek

There's a great youtube video where Vanity 6 made an appearance on "The Scene" but I dare not post it because Prince is such a bitch about those videos. Anyway, go to youtube and search for "The Scene 777-VAN6".
