Last Train to Paris

I was looking for the Grace Jones track but it’s not included in the preview. I can’t stomach Diddy but liked some of the songs. eek None of the current single stuff is on this. Seems like they should be two different albums or discs. Too bad he’s talking lazily throughout.

I think the problem with this project is that Diddy is releasing all the wrong singles. The album as a whole is amazing. I would have never imagined myself saying that about a Diddy album but he caught me off guard with it all. I think the only song I hate on the album is the one with Trey Songz.

Yeah, the singles are a bit misleading but then I can't imagine much of the preview getting airplay or being released and I guess that's what matters these days. I still haven't heard all the songs yet but now, dare I say, I'm actually curious.

Have I gone crazy or does anyone actually hear Grace Jones voice on the song she's featured on? I can't hear her at all. What a disappointment. Still trying to decide over all how I feel about the album....Some tracks are pretty cool and others are typical r&b generic shite.

So,"1st Place Loser" is the song that features the Prince-sounding drum machines....from that studio clip we saw awhile back. It's not a bad song.

I'm not a big fan of Diddy, but I gotta admit this album sounds amazing. Feel good music at it's best.

Finally heard the full song, Yeah Yeah You Would and I wouldn't know Grace was on it if it didn't say so. Her vocals should be highlighted but I couldn't really pick her out amongst the others. What a waste of a great feature.

Was that First Place Loser? None of the songs are Prince-like to me but if that familiar linn(?) drum sound qualifies then the only other song I can think of is Last Night, Pt. 2. And to a much lesser extent, possibly Shades a song with Lil Wayne, Bilal, Justin Timberlake and James Fauntleroy. eek

While I don’t think it’s different or experimental it probably is for his fans and based on his previous stuff. I can’t believe I’m even posting about him… anyhoo, outside of the typical R&B tracks (those with Usher, Chris Brown & Trey Songz) there are a few songs that made me take notice or nod my head. I would not know they were Diddy-related without being informed.

last night part 2 reminded me of raspberry beret, and i honestly think he should release this as a single, maybe back it with first place loser, but that was a bonus song.

I think you're referring to this clip from last year......

That music evolved into the song "1st Place Loser"

It sounds like he borrowed the beat from "Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)" and altered it slightly lol
