Outkast & Pet Shop boys

No particular reason why i put them together confused

Just been listening to theses 2 non stop lately, anyone else a big fan? cool

I Notice more and more how genius Outkast is Atliens is just a fantastic album, the mix of funk, rock, punk & hip hop is just great. The awesome Mainstream, the smooth funk of the title track & Elevators. 13th floor is just crazy i love that one lol

Aquemini & Stankonia are just brilliant slices of music with deep lyrics, funny song's and the ultimate contrast of Andre as the poet and Big boi as the gangster. It just made for some interesting music

I Also love Speakerbox for the Weird and wonderful Dracula's Wedding, Valentines Day, the irrestitable hit's Hey Ya, Roses & The Way You Move. The tribute to Prince's temptation with GOD [or at least that's what it reminds me of wink.

Pet Shop Boys, first time i heard the name assumed they where some teen idol pop band from the 80's. I was very wrong!, to bad some people might not give the guy's the time of day, simply because they are a ''synth duo'' But there lyrics are great, they have some good political song's, and song's about everyday people.

Please has some great track's Divided By Zero, West End Girls, Violence, Suburbia, Oppurtunities

Actually is a masterpiece to me with the great hit It's A Sin, the dark It couldn't happen here. The awesome duet with Dusty Springfield What Have i Done To Deserve This? & The danceable hit music. Also the awesome hit Rent

Behavior has some of the boys best song's Being boring, To Face the Truth, how do you expect to be taken seriously?, Only The Wind & Jealousy

Currently on Very, a lot more technoesque but still very good! Can You Forgive her, Liberation, Different Point Of view are great song's

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

PSB are more than a Pop duo.

They are actually one of the best songwriters of the last 2 decades.

I consider them intelectual pop. Neil Tennant's lyrics are pure poetry.

And my friend freaked out going wtf?? why would you listen to that crap! i tried to explain that they where a great band. And without even listening to them just dismissed them as a ''NSYNC'' type group confused lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I Must say, while Outkast had some amazing and very cool videos.

Pet Shop boys videos are eek eek eek eek eek eek

Idk.. i just don't dig a lot of them

West end Girls is pretty good, It's A Sin is ok

But a lot of the others just do not go well with the song especially the animated videos for the Very album

In the 1980's, there used to be a radio station that only played 12" singles and remixes. It's a Tejano station now. Anyway this was one of the mixes they played a lot. The Top 40 stations didn't play the song that much, not like other songs like West End Girls. West End Girls was even played on the R&B station for some reason.

Always loved Outkast, but I used to think Andre was WAY more talented thant Big Boi. In fact, I barely listened to the Speakerboxxx disc when it was released with The Love Below (the latter which is admittedly a brilliant album). But over the last few years, starting right before Idlewyld was released, I really got into Big Boi's side. Went back and relistened to their early stuff obsessively all over again. Listened to Speakerboxxx on repeat for about a month. Then came to the decission that it really is two parts making one whole that creates that special Outkast vibe. Now I'd say I'm pretty equal on my appreciation for both of them, but it took a very long time. I do of course LOVE Sir Lucious Left Foot. I'm not even stressin' on getting an Andre 3K solo album unless it's mindblowingly good, though. They could just release a new Outkast album and I'd be stoked.

Pet Shop Boys, for whatever reason, stayed in the 80s for me. Even when I was deeply into and involved with the dance scene. For whatever reason I've just never bothered to get into anything of theirs after like, What Have I Done To Deserve This.

I went through the same thing for awhile. I as all about ANdrew thinking he was the glue that held Outkast together, but after awhile you see Big Boi is really just as big. They complete each other in a way some duos don't, and that's why they have made such good work=]

Sir Lucious is a fun album i like it!, Andrew has a few good solo song's

Pet Shop is worth getting into! they ahve so many great post 80's albums. There most recent one was great to!

If your in the States, i know that here there last big success was late 80's early 90's. But in the U.K they had like 43 top 40 hits!

There last album was a pretty decent success going 32 on the billboard 200

Love Etc, was number 1 on the dance charts. And was 21 on bubbling under the hot 100

Did you see me coming from the album hit number 1 on the dance charts.

Hmmm, that is weird. But kind of cool they got exposure like that even on R&B stations.

I remember guys with low riders with playing it too. I think it might have been because in West End Girls, Neil was sort of rapping.

My favorite thing with PSB is that their albums always seem a little out of sync with modern style but then in 10 years or whatever they dont seem the least bit dated. It's like they're writing outside of time

Got that fuckin right, I can actually say that the PSB is the only group that I have kept up with and always enjoy what they release.
