Funk!

And you also admitted that you like old Miami Bass rap(Luke)...and early 80's hip hop..you're "I hate shit-hop" schtick is old,a new year is coming, let it go....this is an interesting thread, don't mess it up...go away...thank you

It's not near as old as shit hop is and it will go away when shit hop goes away. And yes, a new year is coming and I would love to let it go but I doubt there will be a complete style change in music altogether so it will remain.

If you want to tell someone to let it go, tell shit hop because it should have been gone as soon as the 2000s began. That's what's old and I guarantee you, you ain't nearly as tired of my "schtick" as I am of shit hop. Next....

Andy is a four letter word.

Dude, 808s and Heartbreak shits all over Relapse. That album was a boring pile of dreck. At least Kanye took some chances and tried something different with 808s. It's a very enjoyable album to listen to, especially when it's loud. And really, dissing Kanye's "singing", when he KNOWS he's not a singer, is kind of pointless.

Better MC, Em. Better lyricist, Em. More insteresting, willing to take artistic chances and make artistic statements, Ye. But I'm still not sure either of them deserve any kind of "best of the decade" title.

spit Like hell!

Rap artists that can NOT sing worth of s*** have absolute no damn business pick up a mic to do so.

Some people in the org would diss the hell out of Nelly for "trying to sing", yet would give Kanye a freaking pass for doing the same damn thing?!? rolleyes Please, GTFO of here with those double standards! lol

You seem to have issues with anyone who doesn't believe that eminem isn't the greatest rapper in the game.

Ya know what? He's not.

[/b]

No, I don't. Keep within the context of this discussion, please. If we're talking best rappers of all time, Eminem isn't even in my Top 10. Just because I would give Eminem this particular title, over Kanye, doesn't mean I think he's the greatest rapper in the game.

For the record, my favorite emcees are Tupac, Big L, Scarface, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Bizzy Bone, DMX (first three albums), Andre 3000, Biggie, and Snoop. Eminem would creep somewhere in my Top 15, but only just.

Kanye wouldn't even make my Top 30, as a rapper. As a producer he'd make in the Top 20, towards the lower end.

Em was popular more so becasue he was white, and had that cornball movie, so quickly all the white folks went out and droves and supported that shit, EM at that time was blackface at it's best since Justin Timberlake, so flash forward and he has not evolved into anything, he is still the frog voice white angst pop rapper that he was when he came out dissing little pop stars and is still trailer park

Next to Lil Wayne, K West he has had an impressive run this decade if you like it or not has nothing 2 do with it, he took huge risk, shitted on white jesus, George Bush, shitted on white mary Taylor Swift and still come out on top

Like it or not Lil Wayne and K West has a hell of a decade

You don't know anything, no need in explaining how his race played a major role in his acceptance early on, an during that time period for alot of popular white artist at that time, yeah you would know all the white rappers seems you are a personal champion 4 them

What double standards? What did I say that leads you to believe I have any double standards in this regard? Your comment makes no sense in relation to what I said. Whatever opinions you've heard of Nelly's singing had absolutely NOTHING to do with my comment. And Kanye sings better than an entire CONVOY of indie artists I've heard. Wayne Coyne from Flaming Lips has an AWFUL voice and critics eat their shit up. I stand by exactly what I said, because I know what I meant had nothing to do with the way you interpreted it.

rolleyes Ok, I know one discovered the other but who is more talented? Eminem or 50 Cent? Eminem HAD talent, there's no doubt about that. He caught the ears of people who were bummed out with the teen pop scene by feeding right into it while dissing it. Then he turned on himself for The Eminem Show and 8 Mile by examining his own mega fame and what it meant. His song White America is a perfect example of this and one of his best songs.

Colour probably had something to do with it but it certainly wasn't the only thing going for him.

Madonna is NOT a rap artist. Kanye is a rap artist. Rap artists that can NOT sing have no business trying to.

End of. wink

1. I like to speak in general, hence the only reason why I used Nelly as an example.

2. I still disagree with you saying that dissing Kanye's lack of sing ability is pointless. If many orgers notice that Kanye sings like s***, those same orgers have the right to say it.

Being the greatest in the dullest, most rhythmless genre in music history is no accomplishment.

I will take Nas' 2000-2009 discography over Kanye's garbage ass.

I know more than you think. I remember when Eminem signed to Aftermath and I remember the day that "The Slim Shady EP" dropped. He sold records because he had hype and skills, not because he was white. Race doesn't matter. Skills do. Any artist with Eminem's skills could sign with Dr. Dre and sell that many records. Fact is, very few people are as talented as Em (when he makes an effort).

Besides - who do you think buys 90% of ALL hip-hop? Answer - suburban white kids. I'm not a personal champion for white rappers. I'm not even white - are you? I know a bunch of white rappers because I'm a fan of hip-hop, but frankly Lil Wyte was a clone of all his friends in Three 6 Mafia, Vanilla Ice sucks and always has, Miilkbone had crazy skills but was mad underground, and as for Haystak.... the less said the better.

I can name a million Asian rappers like Jin, G-Kay, LS, Thai, Far East Movement, Mountain Bros, Styles Infinite as well. I guess in your worthless opinion that means I'm a person champion for Asian rappers too? Truth is, I know more about hip-hop than you likely ever well in your entire life.

In fact, I dare you to try and call me out on how much I know about hip-hop. I could ask you ten questions of the top of my head right now that you would not know the answers to. I could recite Easy Mo Bee's production discography off the top of my head, but you probably don't even know who he is. lol lol lol lol
