There's something about DL that I absolutely don't like, but I don't think it has anything to do with his brand of humor (...but maybe it does). Could be that he reminds me of someone I knew, or it may just be him. Something about him seems phony to me. No disrespect to those who are a fan of his.

I think he's funny.

One of his best bits is about the pretty girls/ugly girls crying. Everytime an pretty girl starts crying everyone comes around "whats wrong, why a pretty thing like you crying?"

When a ugly girl cry it's totally different. "You better get away from my car ... don't make me throw anoher rock at you!"

I remember watching "D.L. Hughley Breaks the News" a few times on CNN, and felt that he did a good job interviewing guests. Particularly interesting to me was his interview with RNC Chairman Michael Steele. But as a comedian, his comedy is eclipsed by whatever that thing is about his personality that turns me off.

I'm watching "The Original Kings of Comedy" now. Interesting to hear Cedric The Entertainer say how we could never have a Black President, lol. Little did he (...or the world) know that in just 8 more years... WE WOULD, lol. Even now, 2 years after the fact, it's still unbelievable that we do!

Chris Rock "You know when people say never say never,,,,,I'm.Saying.NEVER!" lol They mirrored what alot of us were feeling at the time.

The ONLY person who put me in stitches from the Kings Of Comedy was Bernie Mac. The bit were the eek eyed woman gave him head is ridiculous. God bless him lol

Just finished. Bernie Mac was on the top of his game! No doubt, he was the headliner! I'm sitting here amazed, and also so sad that we lost Bernie. Really happy I finally watched this show, having heard about it since 2000 - I thought I had already seem most of the routines via the various TV shows and YouTube, but there was plenty that I had missed. So glad Spike Lee made this film, so now Bernie and the other 3 Kings can keep us laughing whenever we feel a little down. But this was Bernie Mac's show!

May he be resting peacefully.

Um, I've seen plenty of live Temptations footage and they all had separate microphones.

One mic homie, just like NaS.

Wait a second. Eddie's singing lead and he has no microphone while the other four who are just singing backup have a microphone? I think there is something fishy going on!

It's a freaken joke. Must we take everything so literal on this website? lol

With it comes to hypocritical jerk like Steve Harvey, yes. neutral

If he always had issue with rappers, then he should NEVER be in any of their videos in the first place (as seen at the 4:35 mark).

lol Well it was a TV show. I remember reading Eddie designed the four microphone thing while he had his own microphone. When it was someone else's turn to take lead, he'll move to the four microphone stand: Eddie, David, Paul, Melvin, etc.

Other times, it was five microphone stands and that was before Eddie left. I don't recall how long they used that stand.
