Damn, that is a KILLER groove
I don't think I know much about Terry Burrus, in fact I don't know ANYTHING about him outside this thread except for his session work with Phyllis Hyman.

and you know I'm extremely partial to session keyboardists doing their own solo thing; Greg Phillinganes, Don Blackman, Lesette Wilson, Junie, Bernie Worrell, etc.

Always liked that ish when he defiantly leans into the mic @ the 1:53 mark & yells.."You wanna slap my face baybee??? SUH-LAPP IT!! 
The b-side is instrumental and a notch slower. Marcus Miller produced it.
