Beautifully done & moving. I'm familiar with most of whats been said in there, but the many names that contributed to the film added to the film; Miles, Dizzy, Ella, Ray, Mr.B, Hamp and his own family. I think it was filmed during the making of his "Back On The Block" album.

I saw this when it first came out and really enjoyed it. I liked him before but I think it was after seeing the movie that I really had a new respect for him. Even now I appreciate his work and contribution although sometimes I don’t get him.

I'm in a serious Q kick these days, esp his scoring work - thanks to his autobiography. I've been in a rotton mood these days because of the final exams, and between the two(his story and his music) that gave me a good kick in the ass - I know I'm being transparent but hey

As far as his new album, I've shrugged that off completely and in a classic Quincy Jones fashion "blocked it out of my mind"

Yeah, I just skip over it. It's small in comparison to his entire career anyway. I need to see more of the films he scored but his orchestration stuff is really what made me take notice.

I have it on VHS and dvd, it's a great documentary... and yep it was filmed around the recording of the Back On The Block album so everybody who is on there is in the movie, including Ms Sheila E

I was waiting for her to be interviewed, I was waiting for the interviewer to turn the lights on MJ. Didn't happen
