You know,I was trying to figure out if she was singing live or not. Do you think she chose to lip sync since it was a big live televised special and too much pressure? I know she can really sing live. I've seen footage of her recently where she sounds stronger these days. | |

She can def still sing live. A friend of a friend was one of her sound guys.
I don't think she lipsynced the entire show, but you could tell that a lot of the vocals were pre-recorded. I think it was that way because she had extremely high notes after each song.
Lip sync or not, it was still a "cute" special. Nothing was a surprise. Her performance of "Oh Santa" made me like the song. I didn't care for it before seeing the visual performance for some reason. I also liked the performance of "When Christmas Comes" and "All I Want For Christmas". **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I didn't think there was much lipsyncing apart from the chorus sections. Also, is it me or does every time Mariah sing loud her mic always seems to be lower than her backup singers? I know she was singing the main verses live, but the music drowns the volume of her voice.
