Yall are trippin over Robyn, her stuff has always been tired as hell and her rapping is awful, The only good track she ever did was The Girl and the Robot of the last Röyksopp album. Those dudes kick ass!!!

Robyn is incredible. Sorry you don't get it, but clearly a lot of orgers do.

[Edited 1/8/11 17:01pm]

explain why you think she is so incredible....

I like 2010 way more than both of those years. In fact, I like 2010 more than the entire decade of the 60s. lol

eek eek Ok It's a joke I get it lollolol falloff

I'm actually serious. lol The fact that I like more stuff from 2010 than the entire 1960s reveals two things. First, I am rather ignorant about the 60s, and am hoping to learn a lot from the 60s poll. Second, 2010 has been an incredible year with a lot of great albums, setting a very high benchmark for the rest of the decade.

eek question

not a single masterpiece album, just 5 or 6 truly memorable mainstream singles, random/obscure alternative albums and 2010 has not spawned new genres or whatever

I can understand the love for 2000, 2001, 2004, 2007 (great years) or even 2008 , but 2010??? eek question

Well, we'll just have to disagree, then! I think there are at least 3 stone-cold classic albums from 2010, and that's just among the albums I've heard! In addition, there are half a dozen albums I'd call great and at least a dozen more quite good ones!

If ArchAndroid makes the Nº1, I'LL CUT MY BALLS OFF

I predict it will land somewhere between the 2-4 spots...but not the nº1 spot...

I'm not saying that- I'm just saying that Prince's great success in these polls sometimes goes to albums that don't quite deserve it. I like 20Ten ok, but I realize that it's nothing really special.

explain why you think she is so incredible....

Great lyrics, kickass songwriting and beats, touchingly vulnerable vocals and a dynamic live performer.

Her albums are winding up on many critics' end-of-year lists, so it's not surprising that others feel this way, too.

Man It's a lot 2010 CDs I heard but...

for instance I have that Crystal Castles II cd and I just didn't get into it, now I see it is on someone's #1 list.

I can't do a song list, can I just pick 5 albums to weigh in?

lol I just haven't found much 60s music that I like. Most of the super-acclaimed acts (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, etc.) leave me cold.

For albums I would say Daft Punk's Tron Soundtrack and Deerhunter's Halcyon Digest. Honorable mentions are: Ceo's White Magic, How to Dress Well-Love Remains, and Robyn's Body Talk.

Songs:

Robyn-Indestructible (Acoustic)

Based on your list, is it ok if I order your albums this way to reflect the ties?

1.5 Daft Punk - Tron Legacy

1.5 Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest

4 Ceo - White Magic

4 How to Dress Well - Love Remains

4 Robyn - Body Talk

If you'd like to break these ties or add more albums, etc., just let me know!

The same goes for the song list - are they in order of preference, or should I enter them as one big tie (with a tied position of 6.5 as there are 12)?

Yeah, that is fine for the albums except I would put Body Talk ahead of Love Remains.

The songs aren't in order sorry. I'll do it now:

1) Zack Hemsey-Mind Heist

2) Tame Impala-Solitude is Bliss

3) The National-Afraid of Everyone

4) Robyn-Indestructible (Acoustic)

5) Kavinsky-Nightcall

6) The Depreciation Guild-Dream About Me

7) Salem-King Knight

8) Datsik-Firepower

9) Cee-Lo Green-Crybaby

10) Rihanna-Mandown

11) Best Coast-Boyfriend

12) Cults-Go Outside

I had Body Talk and Love Remains tied, along with White Magic. So if Body Talk is ahead of Love Remains, is it also ahead of White Magic? Sorry if this is confusing. lol
