NOT feeling it. disbelief Though I appreciate that he's trying something a little unusual.

I wish it was the case. Prince' influence is all the rage nowadays, not that I'm complaining, but instead of picking up an instrument and pay tribute to him(ala D'Angelo & Beck) these knuckleheads decided to walk the shortcut lane and and resort to the generic sampling.

At first I thought "is this even in 4/4"? Then I had to count it myself. The beat seems quite detached from the rest of the song ("track"?), but I guess I sort of like it in the end. It's quite similar to the Dream's "Yamaha" as a listening experience.

I remember a show when Diddy had first came out under some other name, and was sharing a sample that he had created out of a Jackson 5 song with Berry Gordy in the recording studio. It seemed like Berry was trying to be respectful, but was thinkin' "this dude is crazy - and thinks he wrote this Jackson 5 song himself."

Ahh, okay. I like this one better than the first one referenced.

Must've been when he remixed "I Want You Back".
