Beyonce Buys Jay-Z a $2 Mil Bugatti for His 41st

on Dec. 9, 2010 04:10 PM

Jay-Z was able to celebrate his 41st birthday on December 4 at the breakneck speed of 255 miles per hour in his brand new Bugatti Veyron, gifted by his beautiful wife Beyonce for the pricey sum of $2 million.

The French-based car company Bugatti describes the sports car as displaying "its power, performance, and self-assertion as a matter of course. Simultaneously, it exudes charisma, perfection, and elegance." Also, it has the juice to go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

But just how thoughtful is Beyonce? Since she opted for the Grand Sport edition, this car had to be ordered a year in advance because of the precise attention to detail that's required, which means she was planning this gift since his last birthday.

She and Jay together earned a whopping $90 million between them last year, but reportedly the songstress paid for this vehicle by herself.

According to the Internets, Beyoncé recently dropped quite a large chunk of change on hubby Jay-Z's birthday gift. The Daily Mail in the U.K. reports that the singer dished out a whopping $1.3 million on a car. But it's not just any car — it is a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. It's a pretty special vehicle — it's the fastest road car available and demanded that Beyoncé order it a year in advance. Hova joins other rich folk like Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise and Tom Brady who already own the car.

Now that's a car you have sex in or on top of. Even that car could make Jay-Z look hot...not hot enough to have sex with in or on top of the car; but hot enough to stare at while he's sitting in the car. nod

All these modern cars look alike to me. I don't know one from the other. I think all of the good looking cars were made before 1980. Even the ugly ones from back then look better than the so-called cool cars of today. lol I don't dig these electronic GPS computer cars made out of plastic, fiberglass or whatever. The old cars had real bumpers and were made from steel. My mom is right, antique stuff is better made.

Who needs a $2 million dollar car? Thats a payment of ten houses! eek I mean all you need is just a regular car. You can get an extremely nice car for alot cheaper than that. I see walking up and down these streets where I live homeless people and people pushing shopping carts but yet you have celebrites and others buying $2 million dollar cars?? Plus, the car itself is not atrractive at all. disbelief

Is the price ridiculous? Yes. And there's very few places you could ever drive it the way it's meant to be driven. But it's a luxury item. It's all hand made and ultra-exclusive. Very few people on Earth have them (this model or the others they've produced). As far as whether or not it's attractive, that's subjective. Clearly some people really love it. However, I'm of the opinion that individuals, celebrities or otherwise, should be able to spend the money they've earned on whatever they want. I certainly don't give two farts what anybody thinks about how I spend mine.

nod I thought I was the only one wondering what the big deal is about this fugly vehicle. What a waste of money. It could've gone to something more worthwhile, or for a worthwhile cause maybe? Just comes to show these celebrities are total ditzy idiots. They better not be on the IRS list in the next 10 years...if so then I'll be ohgoon in my Pontiac G6. Thank you. lol

I didn't even know you could get it in a solid color and I prefer it even more than the two-tone. I'm sure riding in it is near orasmic.

A bugatti, an island... Honestly, I can't even imagine exchanging many gifts in their financial bracket. Maybe something custom or hand made, a small heartfelt treasure. But when you have everything and can get anything what else is there? I'd probably just make a donation to a charity in their name or buy a cow or water well for a family on their behalf. But that's just me. lol
