Godley and Creme ~ Cry

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I love this song. I have it on my iPod right now.

I remember how cool this video was back then. It was pretty advanced at the time, I think.

I saw this when it was a "World Premiere Video" on a now defunct station called Music Television. lol

Yes very true always loved the song, but as usual back in the day, Miami Vice fucking always knew how and where to use music, nowadays no one has a clue on background and scores, but then they did.

Those "morphing" faces used to frighten me, but it's such a good song.

Isn't this the same technology that MJ used for his Black or White Video? I thought I read that somewhere.

Yeah, it got a little bit lost after the third i think, good episodes here and there, and the last season the final episode was really good, its funny how this series and the Starksy and Hutch tv series are very related...outside of directing by Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul at times, and that Phillip Michael Thomas appeared on Starsky and Hutch in 1975, but thats a whole other thread

One of my favorite 80's songs. It's in my library as well.
