never ever again!

Are there songs or "a" song you feel is so overplayed and could do without ever hearing it again?:

1. Brick House

2. We Are The Champions

3. Always And Forever

Amazingly, I can still do We Are the Champions. Despite the fact that I have every Queen album and have heard that song 4 billion times. (I'm a sucker for songs in 6/8 time)

My list would probably include almost every Elton John top 40 hit. Been listening to him for almost 40 years now and songs like Bennie and the Jets make me want to gauge my eyeballs out.

Others that come to mind:

Everyday People - Sly and Family Stone

Been listening to the entire Sly box set the past two weeks and HAVE to skip that song every time. Can't take it no mo.

I Will Survive - I'm sooooo sick of this anthem being sung with gusto every time a girl goes through a breakup.

Well though I still do like the songs, it pains me everytime I listen to my local R&B station and it seems like even though the man has churned out 20+ albums, they only manage to play the following Prince songs over and over again:

"When Doves Cry"

"Kiss"

"I Wanna Be Your Lover"

and occasionally: "Sexy Dancer"

confused

Like really what happened to "Diamonds & Pearls", "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World", "eye hate U", "Love sign", "Gett Off", "Dinner with Delores", "You Got the Look", "Raspberry Beret"..and I could go on and on and on.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That's because Word Up crossed over to pop radio when Cameo's previous stuff was strictly played on R&B radio.

"Sexual Healing" Marvin Gaye

"Superfreak" Rick James

"Celebration" Kool & the Gang

"Thriller" Michael Jackson

These songs have been worn OUT!!! I don't care if I never hear those songs again!

Anything by Anita Baker and Sade. If you live in Michigan, I dare you to turn on adult urban radio and not hear one of these broads within an hour! I used to love both of them but over-exposure on the radio has made me totally bored and indifferent to their music.

Nope. None of the Debarge's barely get airplay here in Michigan. Individually, Anita and Sade get more airplay than the Debarges, Aretha, Diana and Stevie put together!eek
