This might sound like sacriledge but this song could be the cousin of "Just My Imagination" by The Temptations, which is a good thing. everything that nd33 just typed is the reason why this song is so beautiful, and immaculate from a compositonal standpoint. This song probably took a long time to record as far as scheduling orchestral players to play the orchestral harmonies, writing the score for musicians, the brushed snare and and whoever is the singer who sung first the way he paused and resumed singing that line was a great touch. Back then, I took Boyz 2 Men for granted, but now that I'm older and understand r&b music, especially from guys that can crron and harmonize, they derserve to mentioned with the male r&b greats.

Their last CD which was a collection of cover tunes, was pretty decent.

Love this one.

I agree,this is one of the best songs that Babyface has written.The lyrics are great and I also love the sound of it,with the violins and all.
