You Guys Are Going To Hate Me for This lol

But today i was listening 8701 today by Usher.. i think it's a good album!

Grant it everything past confessions is garbage and i don't take him seriously at all as an artist anymore. But i think that this is a good album, and showcases the boy can sing or could.

Another artist i know a lot on the org hate is R.Kelly. But i recently spun his self titled & R which i think are both great albums!

Honestly these guys do deserve some of the backlash they get, they are talented artist's who wasted it for the most part. Eventually making club song's, one discovering Justin Bieber & another getting in trouble for peeing on girls. It's just a shame to me, i do like these albums and these guys could have gone on to make great stuff!

Seal came out around the same time, another talented guy. And i feel he has been way better on making good albums but he doesn't have the hits constantly racking up like Usher

I liked Usher in the 90's and early 00's, and only in moderation ever since. Same with R. Kelly, so I agree with you.

Yes, in the sense that i was listening to there albums. And both guys where kind of around the same time, there both talented but both burned fast. I mean there still making hit singles but nothing very good

But artistically R.Kelly's first few albums probably Trump Ushers catalogue.

Oh ok. Imo, R. Kelly's whole catalogue trumps Usher's. Plus he wrote and produced everything and he's a better singer. Usher sold-out to Pop and commercial R&B, lol. But I like that song "You don't have to call".

His work before 'Here I Stand' really is something when compared to his music of today. Usher has honestly gone down the drain with his recent work/last few releases neutral

His new releases are the reason why I'm not going to his concert when he comes over here with 'Trey Songz' who really makes it ten times worse, I'm just not interested in his shit anymore rolleyes

i always thought of 8701 to be his OFF THE WALL.

this was the only album that ever came close to giving me the same excitement/buzz that a MJ album could have

HEY! That is very true! & i guess confessions was his thriller.. i mean it was the best selling album of the last decade. And is highly remembered. It's not as good of course but in the same vein for last decade.

But ow gosh does that make Here I Stand.. his bad? ;p' lol

He has a great deal of talent (I Believe I Can Fly), but at the end of the day R. Kelly just seems like an insincere hack getting over, waitin' for some prey - IMO.
