Nocera ~ Summertime Summertime I used to like freestyle a lot. I think freestyle music was mostly played in certain areas in the US, so not a lot of people know about it. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I read an article not too long ago about freestyle, and it said that it basically died out when major labels tried to get into it and didn't understand the music or how to market it.
