Battle of the Beige Brothas: Christopher Williams VS Al B. Sure! "Get up off that grey line"

Christopher Williams = The bootlegged light skin version of Johnny Gill.
Al B Sure = Can't sing, but he has some nice beats and his first album is a classic nonetheless.
I'll go with Al B. Sure, because of his classic debut and he appeared on "The Secret Garden". lol.

If you could take Chris' vocals and put them on Al's songs you'd have the perfect late-80's r n b Frankenstein. Cause Al was definately vocally challenged ( Oprah Show, anyone?) At the end of the day though, I'd have to go with Al B. Because the debut is damn near flawless. I liked parts of Private Times and the Whole Nine too. Christopher Williams best moment is 'Promises' This is what you want...This is what you get.

I don't know. I'd have to see both their dicks before I make a decision as to which one I like better. Andy is a four letter word.

They both sucked. But at least Al B. landed himself in some halfway decent projects. His first two albums were pretty entertaining, and he'll always be able to brag about being featured in Quincy Jones' Secret Garden collab -- even if he did have to lipsynch in performances of the song while his fellow vocalists would blow a house down with their live vocals. Greedy as you are, you'd hog them both
Neither both couldn't sing worth a damn, but looking at them, I could see how somebody would cash BIG money from the horny audience just by putting those two in an album cover.

I wasn't going to take it to a sexual realm, but we can...and if that's the case then CW wins hands down... [Edited 12/2/10 7:33am] "Get up off that grey line"

I'd have to go with Al B's production with CW's vocals. If I could cheat. Albert's production was underrated in my opinion due to Teddy's colossal success at the time. Teddy ruled the late 80's and early 90's with his sound. Al & Mr. "Kyle West Break It Down" had a cool sound.
Beige Bros.
Wait a minute were they ever out at the same time? I know Al B. Sure first joint came out in '88. When did Sexy Vs. come out? Maybe CW was out around that time, early 90's. [Edited 12/2/10 8:09am]

CW's first album, Adventures in Paradise, came out in 1989. Al B. had a slight leg up on him as far as who released an album first. I just read that these two are actually cousins. Any truth to that? "Get up off that grey line"

Williams 4 vocal talent. Al 4 material.

Wow. I didn't realize his first one came out in '89. Is his song, "Dreamin" off of Adventures in Paradise? I've always associated that song with the New Jack City Soundtrack. Never heard of them being related.

Nope, "Dreamin'" came from the NJC soundtrack. I do think his first album had one or two singles, though. "Get up off that grey line"

Christopher has a much better voice, but Al's material is very good compared to Christopher. Al gave us lots of classics. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Imm go with Christopher Williams to borrow a line from Nino "pretty motherfucka" I'm Dreamin was the shit back n the day

It doesn't compare to "Forever My Lady", though. Al wrote and produced that one. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I actually prefer Nite and Day to I'm Dreamin'. The N&D video, alone, is noteworthy for the its unintentional hilariousness. Half the time Al B. is singing like he smells something funky, or giving the come hither face. CW is way prettier, though. "Get up off that grey line"

I love me some Al B Sure too now No Matter What You Do with Diana Ross was my song too But it was just something about Christopher that gave Nursey goose bumps

Didn't he smack Halle Berry in the ear??? Now she's deaf in one ear.
?Actor Wesley Snipes has been exposed as the abusive ex-lover of Halle Berry, who struck the actress so hard, she lost most of the hearing in her right ear. R&B singer Christopher Williams - who dated Berry in the early 1990s - has made the startling accusation against the Blade star after getting upset with the number of people who assume it was him who dealt the screen beauty the damaging blow. He tells entertainment news website Eurweb, "The stuff they wrote about (me) and Halle was totally false. They said something like I busted her eardrum, and I'm tired of it. I never said it (before) but I'm so tired of people thinking I'm the guy (who did it). Wesley Snipes busted her eardrum, not me."

Exactly. As far as looks go CW wins hand down. That definitely was a pretty muthafucka. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Umm no, didn't find the unibrow attractive at all. However, Al's speaking voice makes the panties drop. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Here we go again.... Halle has never stated or confirmed which one, if it was Wesley or CW at all, as the ex-lover who caused her to be partially deaf in ear. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I don't think anyone is going to deny the fact that Chris was (is) a better vocalists than Al. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
