Kanye West Booed At NYC Thanksgiving Parade

November 27, 2010

Kayne West found himself at the mercy of a baying crowd on Thursday as he was jeered while riding a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The annual event features celebrity appearances and live performances, including one this year from Kylie Minogue.

The assembled crowd can be heard shouting "Taylor", in reference to West's controversial remarks to Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

The latest episode was caught on YouTube and posted on the PerezHilton blog.

Earlier this month, West struck out at Swift again, for 'using' the confrontation to 'further her career'.

yeah regardless of the incident back then at MTV, he was dumb to do it, i mean just think about it, he jumped on stage and was an asshole to someone that outsells him 10 to 1 and also is the media darling to "kids", and she sells to kids across the board and kids look at him like the mean old man basically, so Kanye just needs to deal and walk on, you did what you did, and accept your actions and the consequences.

lol Didn't I hear someone yell "JUMP!"? LOL. Actually, people oughtn't play with him like that, lol. He's very likely to do exactly that one day (...poor crazy thing, lol).

Considering all the trash that he talks,I'm surprised that he would appear at an event like this. This ain't his usual supportive audience.

In so many ways, he's reminding me more and more of Whitney Houston. He hears what comes out of his mouth in ways unlike anyone else hears it, and has an excuse for everything. In his mind: He's the absolute SHIZNIT, and EVERYONE adores him (...except all those conveniently labeled as HATERS) - Same shit Whitney's on, lol.

Although, I haven't yet ruled out the possibility that he may produce something in the future that could win me over. After all, I liked "Gold Digger" enough, but not much since then. But my stronger sense in that he's heading for self-destruction.

Nippy is a Leo, so you know she thinks she's everything & a bag of chips in her own head lol that being said, I never saw/hear her go blunt in an interview(save for the infamous Wendy Williams call). She was the all-American girl from the Cosby school and her only fault(to the public) was trying to rebel against that image, plus her label shoved her in everybody's throat, thats why she got booed in Soul Train Awards.

Kanye, and the way he voices his opinions reminds me so much of Marvin Gaye. Extremely blunt & arrogant, only difference is, Marvin didn't go and punch Lou Rawls when he lost against him in the Grammys like he said he wanted to lol

In retrospect, none of them knew how to handle fame.

Kanye is an entertainer. People lose track of the fact his big mouth is all just part of the act. I'm amazed what he says is taken seriously to the point he's booed like a villain. But i suppose that's the plan.

MAN! Ain't that something?!? Leo's are a stoned TRIP, lol. And they're not even playing, lol.

Excellent analogy. But ya know, at this point in Kanye's career, I'll take Marvin any day of the week, lol.

Then speaking of Astrology; Kanye being a Gemini, he's bound to change at some point. I just wish he'd hurry up, and I hope it's for the better.

yeah it was. lol As I've mentioned before, there's something about West I've always kinda liked. Like so many in the entertainment business West has "issues" up the butt, he just doesn't have the knack of putting up a fake, phony front. I'm not condoning any of his outlandish behavior either, being booed at NYC Thanksgiving Parade, . . . no better for him.

Can't take it don't dish it.

If he were on the sidewalk they'd be smiling in his face trying to take a photo. These types...

In any case, I hope he is taking notes and figuring out how they do you when you step out of line. I don't personally care for him but its somewhat sad to watch a grown black man have to learn the hard way.

Okay ummm are those leather pants? Looks like he's wearing a dress with tights. lol I do like Kanye for reasons that he definitely knows how to get his name out there, whether it's by annoying antics or not. Just showing up at this event alone proves that point...like someone asked before, WTF was he doing there? Well the same reason he did that stupid interview with Matt Lauer. It appears pointless but at the same time, he accomplished his goal...people are yapping about him and he probably sits at home on his couch with some popcorn and lollipops laughing about it all. To me he's mixed with David Ruffin's arrogance and Marvin's internal conflict (though he was a musical genius).
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

And even though I wouldn't call Kanye exactly a musical genius as of yet, he's well on his way there. thumbs up!

NBC barely showed his performance. Maybe it was because of the booing. But Keri Hilson got way more footage them him and she is not even a top selling artist. What was up wit that?

lol This is a long time coming because the Taylor incident was not the first time Kanye has jumped on stage and voiced his opposition to something assinine at an awards show. He fucked himself and deserves all the animosity that's hurled in his direction. Muthafucka needs someone to humble his ass because he is not Jesus Christ reinvented regardless of how much he may believe himself to be omnipotent.

I'm sorry, but why anyone feels sorry for this schmuck is beyond my understanding. After his mother passed away, I thought he would change for the better but his attitude is worse than ever. I know his momma taught him better manners than to pick on little girls and shatter their dreams but I could be wrong on that because he was a pompous asshole when she was alive.

He's a talented artist; but, talent doesn't give anyone the right to be disrespectful and that's what he did when he jumped on that stage and interrupted Taylor's speech. If someone had done that to him, he would have shit kittens and bitched about it for months, so apparently it's okay for him to disrespect others but not for them to disrespect him back...dude really is delusional and totally self-absorbed. Taylor handled it with class and grace because I would have handed him the award, told him to give it to Beyonce and then go fuck himself in front of everyone, and walked back to my seat. Yeah, I can't ever meet this man because I will go out of my way to make him cry and then laugh at him when he does. evillol
