Well to each his own...but to me that girl is a bit anorexic looking. I'm built more around Ashanti's size though I want to work on my flabby stomach and trim down some inches on my thighs. Overall, in my opinion, curvy/thick women are in more demand. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

This woman looks like a 12 year old. NOTHING remotely appealing about a 12 year old looking grown woman. NOTHING.

I'll tell you what I tell my husband, shut your mouth now.
Since Cd's aren't selling, how about artist making mini albums, say 3 to 5 songs? Just thinking outloud.

Her type mainly appeals to the caucasian Vogue/America's Next Top Model mainstream. No shape. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

but yeah, your idea is a good one.Release singles only, since they still sell.Compile three of them on a mini-album (EP) and there ya go.

Alessandra is hot. Ashanti is hot. They are two different types of women and both of them are bangin'. Now, let's move on from type-bashing, shall we?
All artists should probably be mad at their labels because on some level, they are all getting screwed.

THAT's what I'm talking about, lol. I'll be impressed when one of these rappers takes the money they receive off their one or two hits, and invest it in an education (for themselves). ![]()

Nelly says the best gift you can give to yourself is a healthy body, so this just confirms what I thought about gym bunnies.

I think he makes money from Apple Bottoms Jeans and also owns some kind of of NASCAR racing team. Or mad at themselves for not knowing that labels won't support them long term.

I'm not trying to be confrontational but this is a bit of a common misconception. Education will only get you up to a certain pay grade. The rich already understand this. There are a lot of rich people who aren't well-educated. The smart route is investment and re-investment. The problem is that most of the people who are living that luxurious lifestyle don't think that its ever going to end, so they don't plan for it. Prince isn't well-educated by any means but he was better prepared than a lot of artists because he planned for it and he is a hard worker. He still makes money making music. Its also about understanding your worth. You know that if you are flavor-of-the-month, the ride is going to end sooner and if you plan for it and get your ducks in a row, you can live lavishly after the fall. Usually, the problem is that people just ride the ride. Part of it is because they have other people around them encouraging them "not to worry" and "focus on your music" while their finances spiral out of control without them even knowing. Nelly is not the brightest bulb. Still, dude ain't trying to go back to school and get a regualr job after what he's seen in his lifetime. Most of you probably wouldn't either. He better smarten up quickly and swiftly and start making moves for himself. They have already basically said "fuck you" to him. When your girlfriend/boyfriend says "I'm not breaking up with you but I want to see other people", it means hit the road but if you want to stay and let me fuck you its alright with me. That's what the label has said. Its time for Nelly to look out for #1 and say "fuck them." [Edited 11/30/10 14:13pm]

Yeah instead of investing it in bling bling, gold rims, drugs, gambling, hos and of course an Escalade, seriously rappers can not look after money. Most of them have spent their advance by the time their single hits (Notice the number of videos that have money and wads of bills featured in them, its called advance money. Its well known that record labels pay rappers smaller advances than white groups and charge them higher studio fees (Even though most rap relies on samples and drum machines, rather than complex instrumentation) and pay the rappers a lower rate of royalty as they rappers generally have less financial intelligence and are easily wooed by money, so thats why rappers like Chingy, Young Jeezy etc are probably broke or nearly so. Rappers are easy victims, why do you think so many of them are signed. My guess is the average rapper gets paid around $50 to $250k in advance money and unless they win a lucrative endorsement deal they will be lucky to get a million dollars after 2 platinum albums. Of course there exceptions like Jay Z and Kanye, but the lesser artists are struggling. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

You've made some excellent points, and I agree with the majority of your comment, while appreciating your non-confrontational approach. I just don't understand how my desire to see a rapper invest in an education for himself is a "common misconception". ![]()

I totally agree with you about the mentality that tommorow is forever but educating yourself to have options is never a wrong turn. (IMHO) Many people in the entertainment industry appear to think it's either/or (especially "use"), instead of thinging out the box. Seeking an education can be formal or informal. Working in other fields related to the music business is an option. These dude's talkin' about they can't or wont go back to school for a "regular" job sound no different than these very grown kids ride-in' their mommas sofa day in day out refusing to work at Mickey d' -didn't prepare for jack but wanna a "lifestyle".
Not everyone going to be as lucky as Ice T or Ice Cube and slide into acting. Some of these artists are going to slide their butts right on out of the business without funds to sustain themselves. Then what? They'll do whatever they have to in order to have food, shelter, or support a family. Why not give yourself choices, instead having to make do with whatever or with much less?

your post would be
