3 Number One albums

His first 5 albums peaked in the top 3

18 Top 40 singles, 13 being in the top ten

plus he's smashin' Ashanti, who's looking a lot better these days so he gets a WIN right there lol

Seriously, though. I didn't even like that dang Hot In Here song. In fact, this is pretty much the only thing I ever really liked from him...

Ashanti still looks twelve, though. lol

She's improved though, she was real Eddie Munster-esque with the sideburns and eyebrows when she first started out lol

I'm trying to keep a balance lol

I ain't a fan of dude but calling him a one hit wonder or a flop is pretty inaccurate. I vividly remember dude's peak, when I was in high school, you couldn't escape that fool's music lol From 2001-2005, Nelly was everywhere.

I wouldn't call him the most overrated rapper of the 2000s either. Like I said, 2000s gave us:

50 Cent

Young Buck

Tony Yayo

D 12

Cam'Ron

Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz

The Game

Lil Flip......

you get what I'm sayin' lol

I got you but that's like saying he's the lesser of two evils. lol And you're right, you couldn't escape him. Ugh, he got annoying real quick after one too many listens of "Country Grammar". lol

Are you serious? ONE hit?

Hot in Herre

Over and Over

Dilemma

Country Grammar

Number One

Air Force Ones

N Dey Say

Ride Wit Me

Flap Your Wings

My Place

Girlfriend (with N*Sync)

All did incredibly well, especially the first 3 and Girlfriend.

He is definitely a has been now, but to say he was a one hit wonder, well, you mustn't have listened to the radio much during 2000-2004.

Admittedly, I certainly didn't listen to the radio much between 2000-2004 (even going back earlier than that). And while I was aware that he had more than one CD out, if anyone had ever asked me to name a Nelly "hit", the only one I would have been able to come up with would have been "Hot In Herre".

But even when I recently saw Janet Jackson on The Larry King Show, I was surprised by the number of #1 Hits she mentioned having to her credit. Though the difference with Janet, when I reviewed the hits, I remembered them all... fondly. As I read the list of Nelly "hits" above, none of them ring a bell.

Even less than two weeks ago, I was asking myself: "I wonder what ever happened to Nelly?", lol. As it turns out, as I asked that very question; he had a current release out.

Sure you right. I only listened to Adult Urban format. I was familiar with the Kelly Rowland

song but my point was the only song he did that i thought was hot was Hot in Herre.

The guy may have sold records but he was terrible on the mike. He makes MC Hammer

look like a good lyricist.

Nelly is stupid, he should realise he is a disposable rapper with a career limit of 3 years, they should know the rules, 3 albums and a couple of hits and then oblivion. He's not very talented and rapping is really the lowest form of music aimed at the lowest level of record buyers.

He should be grateful that they ligged his album up to #10, his music is all nihilistic shit about hos and shooting niggaz and bitches and smoking drugs and bling bling. Fortunately shit hop is on the way out. My heirachy of music from the highest brow to the lowest brow

1. Classical

2. Opera

3. Jazz (Hi Brow)

4. Popera

5. Family friendly Maternal acts like Andre Rieu and Celtic Woman

6. Most Popular Music (Including R and B, slow jamz, pop hits, Gaga etc)

7. Heavy Metal

8. Extreme white music like Linkun Park and Death Metal

9. Manufactured and Disney Kiddy pop

10. Evangelical Christian Music

.

.

.

.

.

11. Shit Hop

So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Not that i care for anybody on this list but dude you're telling me Nelly is a better

rapper than Game. What the hell are u hearing when you listen to Nelly? lol

Nelly raps like he's constipated and needs to take a good dump. lol

Timmy is right all these clowns ride their brief wave of success and then piss and

moan when nobody's interested anymore.

Wasn't if 50 cent who recently complained about piracy as though that shit hasn't

been happening since 2000.
