Kanye - A1 Asshole The arrogance of this man is unreal. He is nothing but a self-centered A-1 asshole. He has no class whatsoever.
Kanye West is still angry at Taylor Swift. At a surprise performance of his acclaimed new album at NYC's Bowery Ballroom around 1 a.m. Wednesday, West, 33, launched another attack against the country star, 20, whom he famously ambushed at the 2009 Video Music Awards. During his rant, West seemed to suggest that the Speak Now singer used the VMA brouhaha to bolster her fame. "Taylor never came to my defense at any interview," West ranted. "And rode the waves and rode it and rode it," he sniped of Swift.

Why would she come to his defense? He's a moron who ruined her first VMA win. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

I was looking at his little rant this morning and I have to admit, he had some valid points, but that comments about Taylor Swift and the VMA's last year should've been left alone. People nowadays just don't know how to leave things behind and focus on the music. [Edited 11/24/10 12:43pm] Check me out and add me on:

LOL, yes, why should Taylor have done anything but what she did?
I agree there is no reason The Today Show should still be talking about that situation, but I think she handled it pretty well. There is no reason for him to be blaming her for anything.
Kanye loves to get angry, and the world loves to push his buttons and see him flip out. Being an ass is his true talent and he never fails to deliver. My Legacy

I think it's more about The Today Show & NBC News getting some payback from how Kanye called them out (especially Matt Laurer) from trying to force him to apologize to President Bush.

but the part i saw that he got all upset about was them playing the Taylor Swift tape again. I agree with him that that was silly & pointless except to make him look bad, but still Taylor Swift did not play the tape, she doesn't deserve to be called out for not having his back My Legacy

this guy is so damn arrogant.

Wait a sec. He didn't actually say that she should have had his back. He said that the Bush situation and the Swift situation was handled in the same way. He was saying that he rode it as much as she did. Right or wrong, that's what was done.
He has some valid points but he simply can not articulate his points without coming off as an asshole.

The funny thing is I don't think Kanye understood what George Bush said. He seemed to think George Bush was hurt that someone thought he was a racist, but I think Bush described it as "disgusting" or something to that effect. He was angry at Kanye, not hurt by him. I think when Bush said it was the low point of his presidency, he meant it was the low point in the American public's behavior Not the low point in his own actions
Kanye on the other hand, actually seemed to understand that he had hurt taylor and genuinely apologized for it, several times, in fact
It's hilarious that he thought he identified with the president's feelings, when actually GWB was thinking "how dare he say that about me?"
I am not a Kanye fan, but I think he has a better grip on reality than Bush, and that tells you something about where Bush's head is! My Legacy

he said "Taylor never came to my defense at any interview," and I'm saying she never had any need to, that's all.
But I agree with your last statement wholeheartedly My Legacy

I understand Kanye's frustration about that bullshit apology to George Bush. That was uncalled for, I would've never agreed to that, I don't care what the hell the consequences were. Taylor Swift got caught up in the mix, but he's got a point, why in the hell bring up that incident? She's got nothing to do with this. They were trying to promote George Bush's book and paint as a sympathetic figure, at the same time continue to paint the President as unreliable and a total failure.
But once he signed that contract, that was it. He didn't understand that you had to play their game and follow their instructions. He's an asshole all right but so what, a lot of Hollywood celebrities are, you just won't see it.
Normally I wouldn't say anything because I'm not a fan of Kanye West but this really sucks, I have to back him on this. However what he doesn't understand is that Taylor Swift isn't smart enough to understand what's going on and he shouldn't expect anything more from her, she's doing exactly what she's suppose to do, not a damn thing. This is not about music, pop culture, who's an asshole, bipolar, ego trippin, this is about politics. The moment he made an ass out of himself, he was finished. [Edited 11/24/10 15:39pm]

LOL @ 3:19 someone yells "Fishstick!"
You know I used to think his little episodes were for publicity but I'm really starting to think he's just genuinely insane. And I love every minute of it.
One day his ridiculousness is gonna land him in hot water. You watch and see. All the stunts so far have been extinguishable but he will soon be branded with saying something inexcusable in the eyes of the public.
Remember I said it first.

Ow Kanye
I loved your new cd so much... and say how talented you are despite being an asshole. But geesh, kanye you are getting harder to defend. I mean, he's a talented guy but just like Prince and many other great artist's who are very talented but don't know when to shut up.
Kanye is starting to enter Axl Rose territory lol Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

As is the case with most bullies, he chooses his targets carefully.
He's too much of a sissy to challenge a man in a war of words, thus he has to pick on a 20-yr-old skinny girl.

Oh boo-hoo. Like Taylor Swift has come out on top sice the incident. His point was that its all a media game. It is. He told the truth. Its bigger than him and bigger than Taylor Swift's non-singing ass.

He should tread lightly. In the future he might need Swift to give clearance for a sample once he's exhausted his current list of samples and melody loops.

Hummmm, he likes to rant but at least he is a colourful character! I wouldn't give him the time of day if he wasn't such a talented artist who has just made a fantastic album & film. they havent figured out that therapy is the answer, not shoving their issues on everybody else's table, like the world is supposed to accomodate their outright lack of self-esteem and pay attention to all their loud talking bravado.

In the midst of the outrage over someone breaking from script at a fucking awards show, people failed to realize the truth of the matter. Which is that Kanye was right. Taylor Swift didn't deserve that award. Beyonce's video was fucking brilliant. There have been so many bullshit choices made by these award shows. It's about time someone actually acknowledged it. And live on stage as it happened too. I wish more people would tell the truth and say what they actually fucking mean like Kanye did. [Edited 11/25/10 1:55am]
