Kanye West, Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj & Ne-Yo Lead Big Release Day Albums usually come out on Tuesdays, but to get a jump on the holiday shopping season, many big names are releasing their highly-anticipated albums on Monday. Here's a rundown of what's coming out: --Ke$ha releases Cannibal, the "companion EP" to her hit debut, Animal. It features eight new tracks, including the #1 hit "We R Who We R," plus a remix of the song "Animal." You can buy it as a stand-alone, or you can buy it as two-CD deluxe edition with the original album, called Animal + Cannibal. --Jay-Z's The Hits Collection, Vol. 1 features all of Hova's smashes, including "Izzo," "99 Problems," "Empire State of Mind," "Big Pimpin'," "Encore" and "Hard Knock Life." --Ne-Yo's Libra Scale works as a collection of stand-alone songs, but it's also a quasi-sci-fi concept album about three guys who are offered special powers and everything they've ever wanted, with one caveat: they can never fall in love. Of course, one of them does, and that's when things get difficult. --The Burlesque soundtrack features a slew of new cuts from Christina Aguilera, as well as a couple of tracks from her co-star, Cher, including a new ballad titled "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me." --Pink Friday, the much-anticipated debut album from Nicki Minaj, features the hits "Your Love," "Check It Out" and "Right Thru Me," and includes guest appearances from Rihanna, Eminem, Kanye West, Drake and Natasha Bedingfield. Natasha tells us she recorded her part on the song, called "Last Chance," in Eminem's studio in Detroit at the last minute, when Nicki called her asked her to appear on the record. Natasha says of Nicki, "She definitely a rising star and I'm sure she's going to get a Best Newcomer Grammy." Grammy-winning pop legend Annie Lennox is a fan of Nicki's too; Nicki sampled Annie's hit "No More I Love You's" on her single "Your Love." Annie says of Nicki, "I think she's an incredible talent...such a powerhouse." --Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of the most eagerly-awaited albums of the year, even though most of the music is already out there in one form or another. The album features five different pictures, and guest appearances by Kid Cudi, JAY-Z, Rick Ross, NICKI MINAJ, RZA, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon and alt-rocker Bon Iver. One cut, "All of the Lights," features, among others, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Fergie, Elton John and La Roux singer Elly Jackson. Elly, who says Kanye played her the album at a volume that was "surely illegal," tells us, "It's really big...it just sounds really epic." Speaking about all the big names on the record, Elly says, "He's just sees that he can do something here, because of who he is. He's like, "Well, I can get in the best of the best. Why shouldn't I?"
