Nice little side effort from Larry & the boys. Hardest jam from them was the B-Side to "Party Freak"...a song called "It's Just A Dream" Funk Is It's Own Reward

What would you call the hairstyle that the guy in the middle is rocking? Super stylish. You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

A wild and surprising track indeed when i first heard it. Sorta reminds me of when Cameo experimented with jams like "Alligator Woman", "Cameo's Dance" and "Let's Not Talk Slot".

Yeah...It's right up in your face. One of the many great B-sides we used to get to enjoy. Miss those.
Dunno what they were smokin when they cut this track, but I wish both Cashflow albums had been more in this vein. Funk Is It's Own Reward

It was pretty damn good imo. I borrowed a friend's copy and recorded it on cassette. Of course over the years the cassette popped. Don't laugh at my funk

I have Mine All Mine and Reach Out on 12 inch. The Reach out 12 inch has a nice remix of Can't Let Love Pass Us By as the B side. Don't laugh at my funk

Always considered the LA Connection album E-S-S-E-N-T-I-A-L to all those who love Funk (esp from that period). Heavy duty....non-stop...wall to wall throwdown. Of the 7 tracks, 5 are SERIOUS jamz.
On my all-time top 10, fasho.
Cameo's production, great band (with Roger Harris singin lead)..even a cameo from one of The Reddings. The project was a genre highlight, IMO. Funk Is It's Own Reward

This album provides the best production work from Blackmon (Cameo), for a non Cameo album.
