FIT FOR A KING: Michael Jackson returns to the Hot 100, as the Akon duet "Hold My Hand" debuts at No. 84. The song concurrently lifts 53-45 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and debuts on Adult R&B at No. 16, the chart's highest start this year.

On the Hot 100, Jackson's 48th, and first posthumous, chart entry is his first since "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008," also with Akon, peaked at No. 81 the week of Feb. 9, 2008.

Just copped the LAST 2 copies of the DVD at Best Buy. I'll be watching tonight!

Okay so I just popped it in so I can see a few videos and first thing that irked me is the screen size! WTF! I feel cheated!

Videos that were released in widescreen definitely are (like Jam e.g) I rather have that than that they blow it up to fit our screens and losing quality.

I havent seen Jam yet. I only browsed Rock With You, Thriller, Say Say Say, Can U Feel It and One More Chance (which IS wide screen). I don't know, I just feel cheated out of the videos that arent wide screen

Well they were dancing to "2Bad" in the movie version also....

I know, what I meant was that this is the crappy "Ghosts" audio version, the badly edited one? Not 2bad.

Yeah I can understand how you feel that was my initial thought as well. I'm still happy with the overall package though...It's not top notch...but still alot better than what we had previously on one set.

^^ Videos shot 4:3 (such as the majority of the early vids) should be kept at that size. To blow them up either gives you pan and scan effect or center cut (which means you will lose some of the actions).

Most TVs these days have the option to boost or fit (stretch) 4:3 to 16:9 but I bet you won't enjoy seeing them like that.

Bring on Friday - MJ Experience on Wii and Visions here for me.

BTW MJ Experience for PS3 (move) and Xbox Kinetic are coming out in the first few months of next year - the gameplay will be more involved based on full body moves than just an arm movement (a la Wii).

They weren't filmed in an aspect ratio that fits widescreen, so that just won't happen. Even if they end up on Blu-Ray, that'll always be the case for the earlier videos.

The original negative on anything shot on 35mm film is 16:9. If they remastered. Anything on anamorphic lenses (finchers who is it) is 2:35 full widescreen. This is just lazy...

The standard version vs widescreen version is an interesting inconsistency. It might be the case that while the pieces were filmed in 35mm, they were still framed for television in 4:3, intended only for home viewing and home video, without anticipation of the development of widescreen home televisions. What is seen is likely all that was meant to be seen as it was originally presented.

I do, however, suspect the poor quality of WHO IS IT and others leaves room for future RE=MASTER re-lease. Since it didn't even come out on BLU-RAY, so you know somethin is up. I suppose this is a good money-making scheme, as people who purchase this version will also have incentive to purchase the slightly better BLU-RAY also, largely because the releases were scattered. It will be too late to return this VISION by the time the BLU-RAY vision is released.

Michael Jackson Breaking News: Oprah Interviews Singer’s Surrogate Family

What to do when so many people question the truth? Go on “Oprah.”

I am told that the whole Cascio family appears on “Oprah” on December 6th to showcase Eddie Cascio’s tracks from Michael Jackson‘s new album.

Eddie is joined by his parents, Dominic and Connie, as well as brother Frank and sister Nicole.

The family talks with Oprah about their long relationship as Michael’s surrogate family, and the evolution of the music Michael made at their house in New Jersey in 2007.

Originally, the family didn’t want to go to the show, but Sony Music thought it best just to put the whole story out in the open. “Michael” the album is released on December 14th. The single, “Hold My Hand,” is already on the radio and on ITunes, featuring Akon.

Eddie Cascio has three tracks on the new “Michael” album–”Breaking News,” “Monster,” and “Keep Your Head Up.” There are nine more in the vault.

Also on the show is Michael’s long time producer Teddy Riley, who worked on the tracks and vouches for their veracity.

Don't expect Orca to do any hard investigative journalism. She'll just nod her head whilst looking thoughtful at their answers to her questions.

Her riding his death for ratings is sickening just to read about, let alone watch.

All those years of silence and holding Michael's trust and NOW they're breaking all that to do interviews to save their face?! I'm hoping this is untrue. I swear, since his death... it's like nothing surprises me anymore. Pigs can go ahead and fly now, for all I care.

What we will probably see:

"He just wanted to unwind."

"He was proud of these songs."

"He wanted to experiment."

What we probably won't see:

Video footage of him recording.

Any acapella or song where the vocals sound like traditional MJ, i.e. every other song or demo ever leaked or released.

Exactly. It'll be a total farce, these fools will continue to say it's MJ and Teddy will agree with them and blah blah blah. Oprah doesn't give a fuck, she ain't gonna ask them why most of the fanbase, Cory Rooney, 3T, Darkchild, Randy, Latoya etc are saying it's not Michael.
