I bet 'Behind The Mask' is going to be great too. I even liked Clapton's version and i'm not mad keen on 'Slowhand'.

I love that era, Michael was really, truly magical in the 80's.

Amanda Ghost, the head of Epic Records, was just fired.

http://www.hollywoodrepor...ical-45996

According to that article, the MJ album may be Epic's only saving grace this Xmas. They're shipping 900,000 copies and expect to sell 400,000 the first week.

Nice booty shots though. lol

It was the only reason I suffered through the song to watch it. He filled out those pants quite nicely. Personally, even though I don't know what happened to him during the early 2000s and even though when he put on that weight he lost his neck, he sure as hell filled out those pants in all the right places.

Lost his neck? What do you mean?

And yeah, he did look good with some meat on, but his booty was always special. lol

Despite my less than pleasing thoughts about the Cascio track issue, I'm so proud that an MJ album is going to slay the supposed hot artists of today. cool Heck yea!

I think worldwide sales might be over 5 million? What do you guys think? Wishful thinking? lol

Maybe 3 million is more realistic. xD

Anyways, I just know Mike's album is going to do reallll good in Japan. This Is It album compilation sold 500, 000 there. Imagine if it's a new album.

I think it will do well especially this Christmas season for the US market.

I dunno about the UK market but Mike has some really loyal fans there.

European market is more loyal too.

Seriously, I listened to Breaking News and Keep Your Head Up back to back, for the first time in a few days... to me, it's so NOT Michael Jackson. If you listen enough over a day or two you can start convincing yourself, but after not hearing them in a couple of days, then listening to them again, the fakeness comes rushing back.

Just my opinion, of course.

I keep hearing MJ singing "Joy" by Blackstreet ever since Teddy said that MJ did record a demo of Joy, and now there's a song called "Best Of Joy" on the album. I hope its a killer R&B track like Butterflies or something.

I am feeling the hype for the songs we know are MJ, but the whole project took a nosedive for me when Breaking News premiered. I guess we can hold out hope something went wrong with the debut of the song, but sadly, I don't think the album versions are going to sound much different than what we heard. Midway through last week, people were saying they updated Breaking News on the website, but it sounded the same to me.

I still can believe they've managed to jack up what was essentially something very easy to put together. 10 damn songs, how hard is it?

Well you can can bet fans aren't going to let the fakery slide. Non-fans have commented too. When it's available fully, that's going to intensify only more. I think Sony have a problem on their hands.

I don't think you appreciate how hard it is to put together an MJ song with no MJ on it! That's no easy task! lol

it's very possible that you lose your "chops". It varies a bit by instrument, but the basic principle applies.

Who knows. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't actually listened to those tracks with the utmost scrutiny - based on what I just said, my opinion on them has been that (aside from the obvious samples and added edits from other demos/songs) it is indeed MJ, who is just sadly a shade of his former self.

As others have stated, this point might be valid if it weren't for the fact that "Hold My Hand" was recorded within the same time frame, AND was also an unfinished demo when it first leaked, and Michael sounds incredible on it.

Compared that song with "Breaking News" and "Keep Your Head Up". They are worlds apart... because it ain't him. Not on the lead vocals.

[Edited 11/19/10 10:27am]

Hold My Hand was recorded at The Palms though - a more professional studio than what I assume the Cascio's set up was.

Also anyone in a studio will tell you different mics will give you different vocal treatments. As will processing, gating etc.

We are all use to Bruce Swedien's mic arrangement and genius engineering as well, so comparisons will differ.

Again hopefully this gets resolved soon enough but I doubt it will to anyone's satisfaction.

The Earth song part is the very end of the song. But i don't understand how fans don't get why they probably did that. MJ passed away and the song was unfinished so they have to finish it.

Unless you want Sony to not release anything which they could do. They could release material from 1982 or 1988 but why promote that heavily or release it to radio stations. Then fans would complain about that.

If you want MJ music where its released to radio where you can vote for the top 9 at 9 countdowns...LOL...then it has to be new. Not 1984 finished tracks.

Majority of the new stuff is unfinished but MJ sings enough on the track for it to be a MJ song

Do you remember "In The Back" and "Beautiful Girl"? Michael Jackson left those songs just as they were even with him humming the vocals and muttering..what's wrong with leaving it? It cheapens the effect and the song. Michael would not use samples of his old songs for his own music and never has.

Yes but In The Back was released on a greatest hits collection - not an album of tracks "never heard before".

Like I've always said the estate are in a lose/lose situation with unfinished songs - fan's want to hear what Michael was recording since 2001 and if there are good songs (but unfinished) you'll have some fans saying leave them as is, and others saying finish them as Michael intended.

You have to remember this is an album that is trying to appeal to fans and to the wider record buying public as well - they want commercial songs - and unfinished songs don't equal commercial.

BUT (and I haven't heard it) putting on the end of Earth Song on a track (if cut and pasted) is stupid - unless Michael wanted to run those lines on the track - the way he took lines from Blame It on the Boogie and added them into Scream

Seriously, what do you all think is the next step after this MICHAEL album? DO y'all see another album next year or 2012? I don't think they're going to put out an album next year. I'm to a point now to when I don't even care about those Cascio tracks anymore. It is what it is.

Yeah I see them doing 2012 too and yeah I don't think with the reaction they're getting from those tracks that the six other tracks from the Cascios will be presented.

I wonder how the woman from Epic got fired though. Epic has gone downhill in general.
