Whoever is talking sh*t about Kelly not being a great vocalist just lost all integrity. THIS GUY IS A BEAST. PROVED HIMSELF AGAIN after the Soul Train Awards and Jimmy Fallon performance.

W T F!!!!!! One of the GREATS.

Can't believe some people. I can understand him not being to your taste but not realising how talented he is is plain dumb.

Dude sings like a billy goat.

Foolish. Forget hype about any album, we're talking about vocal ability.

It's clear as day that you're pressed by R. Kelly. SMDH.

His vocal techniques alone >>>> every guy on that list.

Way better than the original. But like I've said before he needs to utilize live instruments. It would do him wonders and make his voice 'pop' more . Nonetheless, he's the best R&B vocalist and performer of his generation. Despite his personal tribulations; there's just no denying that.

List, scmelist. Love Letter is his best work since The Chocolate Factory. Strong melodies and lyrics that (thankfully) steer less toward the boudoir make a winning formula.

I like Kenny's voice when he's not trying to oversing. He has a tendency to do that at times.

OT: I caught him on the TV One "Holiday Love" special and he did a really good job singing acapella.

It's not about what I think. It's the fact that he can sing all those men 6 feet under. This is a fact. But then again this is the same guy that thinks Tank is a vocalist. Chile...

U can get caught up in semantics if u like.............I'll pass. Anyone who sings is a vocalist whether they can sing or not. That is NOT the point of my comments about Kelly. F O C U S.

Where are these facts that I can verify?

I watched it. The title track was written for Michael Jackson. I wonder if Jackson has a version recorded?

Also, this whole album seems to be like Raphael Saadiq's "The Way I See It"

No, 'Not Feelin The Love' was meant for MJ, not 'Love Letter'. I also want to hear MJ's version. Especially, the ad-libs love

They're both different albums. Just because they both did throwback albums doesn't make them similar. It has been done before either way. Besides it's not like R. Kelly thinks this album is 'original'. He even said it's his way of paying homage to all his inspirations.

Why are you acting like R Kelly can sing in every registers and be better than those guys in every single register ? He can't, they all have differents voice, different strenght and weakness, to act like R Kelly is on an other planet is foolishness, his soultrain awards performance was verry good, Number One Hit and Ignition of Fallon were just alright, he has his lane and as soon as he steps out of it, he makes mistake like all of his pairs ....

He has strenght and weakness like all of the singer that cap listed. Brian Mc Knight, Anthony Hamilton, K-ci & Jojo back in the days, young Maxwell, Eric Bénet, Rahsaan Patterson, I've seen them all live, at this level its just a matter of taste, yall are acting like there is some objectivity saying that Kellz out sing those guys, that's some foolishness.

It's just opinion...

But I would list Eric Benet above R. Kelly, and maybe Maxwell. Not D'Angelo... D'Angelo has music that fits his voice perfectly, but I don't consider him a vocalist.

Frank McComb is a good singer, but doesn't have near the range R. Kelly does.

There's no point in making a giant list and then arguing in circles, its all opinion at the end of the day.

And yeah, I can TOTALLY hear MJ ripping up "Not Feelin' The Love". R. Kelly's ad-libs at the end of that are very MJ-ish. I'm glad you guys pointed that out, because now I can really hear it.
