Good example of an artist who was previously absent in my collection.

I went and got Showbiz on VHS this autumn. Ever watched that, Jay?

Nope, and I'm offended that you've already out-TSC-ing me already lol

Based on my analysis, I believe the government faked the plane crash and demolished the WTC North Tower with explosives.
The South Tower, in a simultaneous but unrelated plot was brought down by actual terrorists.
Is it a deal?

I can't believe that I have NEVER owned a copy of Thriller. It is beyond me how this happened. It is also beyond me that the only MJ or Jacksons release I ever owned was Off the Wall on CD. I have at least 40 MJ/jacksons songs on my iPod. Weird.

Back in the day,'Thriller' received so much airplay and attention that you almost didn't even need to own a copy lol Those songs were everywhere.7 of its 9 tracks were singles.

Upon his death I noticed I had absolutey no Michael Jackson. Not even a stray single. I realized upon looking through his libray that Off the Wall was really his only album I ever actually liked. I realized that I actually like the memories of MJ's time, more than his music, which was interesting.

Joni Mitchell and the Grateful Dead.

I want to...i support the idea of them...but everytime i try, my mind wanders and i go clean my room.

I had some grateful dead sitting on my computer once, for almost a year, and I'd try regularly, but then, no. Time to clean my room.

Maybe someday i'll grow into them. I'd be open to it. Clean my room first, THEN put on Joni Mitchell.

And then go wash my car.

Is that a download site? If so, I've never downloaded anything, and I don't plan to start now. I only buy records or CD's.

You can order real CDs on Amazon.

You can get his Greatest Hits for about $10 (+ S&H) if you search through the various sellers;

Since Hector Lavoe was at the forefront of the "nuyorican" sound that became modern Salsa, you HAVE to have some of his music in any decent collection!

Michael Jackson...I've just never cared enough for enough of his music to actually go out and get an album. I think he was an amazing talent, just not my cup of tea.

Bait thread

It would have been easier to say this: "I despise Madonna"

lock

I don't despise Madonna, it's just dawned on me yesterday while listening to Virgin on XM 80's on 8 station that I have none! I do despise Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, but not Madonna.

Not even the Prince and Madonna duet? That was my first Madonna album. I have her 2 greatest hits cd-that's enough for me. I treat Madonna like disco music, it has it's time and place-but it doesn't get played much.

Oh, I don't own Whitney Houston. Beautiful voice (in the past). But never wanted any of her music. I think I have one Mariah song on a grammy cd-'cause I wouldn't buy Mariah cd or a CHER CD. (Watch Johnart's head explode)

falloff I don't own any Cher either. lol (sorry John)

I've never been a fan of Whitney Houston...but I do own the "Your Love Is My Love" album.

"It's Not Right...but It's OK" (the album version) is nice, and "Heartbreak Hotel" is one of my favorite tunes.

...and "Like A Prayer" is a good Madonna album to have, if only just for "Love Song" (the prince duet) and the obvious Prince influence on the album overall. Isn't it said that "Like A Prayer" the single was a gift from Prince to Maddy?

Madonna has said that Prince did the guitar for 3 tracks Like a Prayer, Keep it together, Act of Contrition (to the extent in which he played on each song varies) Where all the Princeologists when you need them?
