First, I like, "Waiting For a Girl Like You". Second, I don't consider, "I Want To Know What Love Is", a love song. I look at it more as a cry for help or even a prayer to a higher power, in search of an answer. I say this because of the circumstances in which it was written. The composer wrote this for his wife, when they were contemplating divorce several years earlier. I don't think it can be considered a love song, if he really does not know what it is... WAITING FOR A GIRL LIKE YOU is a masterpiece and probably my fav ballad of all time. Just some serious heartfelt lyrics here. Perhaps the lyrics, today, are taken for granted, but this song is truly honest, not your typical sellout hair-metal ballad...

but I agree ^ that it's not a regular love song, it can be easily considered as a hymn or a prayer, 
pure "gospel meets arena rock" masterpiece 
, and Down On Love is kinda ok...
